Uber sent me a ride from Los Angeles to Anaheim for $29. 45 minutes away. Once you drive back, that works out to about 1 $15 an hour. Less than McDonalds pays. I never accept those.

@brizmap9422 Dawg shut the hell up, yes complaining about doordash and stuff probably doesn't do much. But cherrypicking is a good strategy as long as you're realistic, as in taking $2 per mile (unless you're trying to get somewhere specific) for every order and not accepting trash for $2.50

Summer Slowdown is a real thing. Once the kids and college students are back in session, business will pick up tremendously. I’m in the Atlanta market, and I’ve noticed a 30-40% decrease in revenue since the Summer started, along with very dead times throughout the day and night, when it was ALWAYS business anytime of the day and night for me.

@@gregmadison556 I was averaging $30-$32 an hour in a week’s time. The first week of the Summer Slowdown, it was $25 an hour. Then the next week, it was $22 an hour. Currently, I’m seeing about $20 an hour, and I’m working less hours because it’s not many hours of the day and night even worth coming outside for. If I was working my normal hours, that $20 an hour would be even lower. 🥴

I have been watching your videos since back when you lived in Boston and they are awesome! I have been doing uber/lyft/amazon flex/doordash out here in Phoenix since 2017 and I can tell you June-mid August are just trash. Does not start picking up until ASU comes back for the fall semester and it will get better as it cools down and visitors return. Keep up the videos because they are great and good luck out there!

I got deactivated for 84% satisfacton rate today 😂 honestly was a blessing . I’m in south Tempe … I’m scared of Scottsdale cops they get you for anything 😂 No more support calls to India 😂 And no more crappy customers that get overcharged and are still expected to tip for us to make any money … your a strong one brother I did a little over 15 months with 4200 deliveries ❤

Consider it if you're near a major city or airport. I started last week, making about $200 working for 7-8 hours a day. The key is to work nights and early mornings when demand is highest. Daytime delivery or ride share, especially outside metro areas, isn't as profitable.

Whats crazy is things are the opposite here in WI. The deliveries pay shit and the rideshare is higher, but even rideshare is getting less. Too many drivers! Im making way less than 2 years ago! or even 4 years ago

I live in Scottsdale area. July is by far the worst month. ASU is out for summer and a ton of people go on vacation to avoid the 110 degree heat.

When I started Uber rideshare in 2014 we made $100-$200 an hour!!!!Ain't no way risking your life with strangers is worth $60 bucks. Please do not waste your time any further. Food delivery is 100% safer, pays better and is easier🤗

Yeah i started in 2014 part time and the hourly pay was much better but the best thing were the surges. 50x too 100x better. Nowaways, you really have to hustle to get at least 100-200$ a day

Its summer its the worst time to drive right now it will pick up in late august. Also you can always use one of your destinations and uber will send you rides towards your home

I do Uber Rideshare in Phoenix and usually work between 11am and 7pm. It picks up M-F between 2pm and 6pm. At this time of the year that will make me around $140. Between September and April that's an easy $200 regardless of the day. Holiday weekends here that aren't Thanksgiving and Christmas are pretty shit though. People leave AZ on those long weekends.

Uber is getting cheaper, I went to a restaurant to pick up and ubereats order last week and the restaurant was closed. Called support and they told me they are not doing the $3 compensation for closed restaurants no more….. I hate this company.

Just so you know, when you have both rides and deliveries checked in your preferences, Uber prioritizes rides over food so food orders will not come through as much.

You can't only consider per miles. For example: @ 1:35 in the video you show two trips on the screen. The first is $9.87 for 10.5 miles and the other is $9.37 for 11.7 miles. You think these are bad trips. When you consider time, which is the only thing that matters, the $9.87 trip is for 22 minutes so that makes it almost $30 per hour and the $9.37 trip is for 17 minutes making that one well over $30 per hour. Ive been driving about a year and average over $25.00 per hour and just coming on these videos and noticing somewhere, someone in the beginning got everyone started considering mileage and its screwing everyone up. "Time is money" Not "miles are money". But I would say that your market stinks. I have a 25% acceptance and always have another trip lined up before the current one is over.

man i'm glad i'm done with food deliveries, after 9 years, got hired from my local transit agency, base pay is $31 per hour and overtime is 1.5X, $45 per hour. Don't think I will get back to doing deliveries but it was good while it lasted

Rides don't usually get tipped much as food. For rides it's those fancy or downtown areas sometimes. Food gets tips more for sure. My stats always show that.

For my rideshare, I get paid by the time and distance. So short rides=short pay, and long rides= more pay plus tips. The only downside is that idk where I’m going until I pick up the person.

Rideshare in AZ during the summer is non-existent. You only have a couple of rushes and its saturday night after 12AM. Not worth the time or money to do rideshare in the summer;.

I’m in mass and I’m not looking forward to the change.. It’s going to be similar to NY, where you have to schedule in advance, limit the amount of drivers on, and not to mention it’s going to be 33/hr active time not online time..

It would be interesting if you asked the riders how much they paid for the ride vs your payout. I like to ask my drivers because it's shocking how much the rider pays vs how little the driver gets.

I do uber in boston and i make 300 every day minimum some days its takes 7 hours some days 12 hours but on average 9hrs and I make around 36/hr on average

Sky Harbor is only good if you get a trip going there because you'll be able to get a trip going out 95% of the time. If you just go straight there you'll have to go to the waiting lot and potentially wait an hour just to get a meh trip

@@11633 You can do it but its not realistic to expect to only do those trips. If you get a trip from Sky Harbor out to Surprise, it can be very difficult to get a trip going directly back to Sky Harbor. If you don't care about your acceptance rating then you can try it out. If you drive directly back to the airport you're just wasting money on gas.

I do Uber rideshare in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. In order to be able to have an idea of where the rider is going, you have to be Platinum (1100 pts) and keep an 80% acceptance rate. So cherry picking rides can make it difficult unfortunately.

Uber trips is good in my market. Of course it’s kinda slow sometimes, but I range from 25-30 an hour most of the time. It’s crazy how it’s bad in your area. I also have Lyft in case Uber is slow

Apparently even though they rolled out up front fare and destination 2 years ago it has yet to make it to long island new york. According to support it's alot to implement and takes time to get it done. Total bullshit. When the rider orders the ride he or she tells uber the destination why they can't pass that information on to me makes no sense. It's a joke

Uber and Lyft are ripping you drivers off! They are charging Riders surge prices, especially people who are from out of town and not telling the drivers that they are charging surge prices. They are taking up to 80% of your fare. If you don't believe me start asking your writers what they are paying. Especially those who are from out of town

Lol, f that. Uber Eats is goated. You are getting horrible miles per dollar on the rideshare, and you have to drive people. You are at the mercy of the fare instead of rejecting and waiting for baller tips only.
