Thanks brother! I think the next video will be a lot better. You can expect a Laos video every 2-3 days until the series is complete… at least 6 in total. Just started processing my 650 shots from Luang Prabang this morning… that place was amazing!!

Would love to see a video comparing Laos and Thailand, maybe after you spend more time there

That’s a great idea. I think after my Laos series is done I’m going to some neighborhood guides and comparisons for Jomtien and Pratumnak.

Have you talked already about the dreaded fruit you mentioned? What's it called? Great walk about footage once again.
@peteonretreat2023 Жыл бұрын
Great to have such a great new place to walk and talk about in. Ah, the durian fruit… I think I’ve only talked about it in my 3rd ever video. It was in the first curry dish I had here and I really didn’t care for it.

I'm not trying to make you jealous, Pete, but we got close to 2 feet of snow here, last week, in Minnesota. I see you're suffering through your time in Laos. Well, maybe it will snow there? lol I hope not! Great video, Pete!

Oh man… I know people in Austin that were in the freeze again and without electricity for 4 or 5 days! I’m really fortunate for now but I’m sure I’ll see some weather here eventually. I know it floods a lot in the city during monsoon season… just another reason I’m not in the city! Take care and stay warm my friend! 🙏🏼

It was nice meeting you, dude. I apologize if I didn't look my happiest when you saw me at the Consulate. It was a rough day lol. Let me know if you ever swing by Chiang Mai.

Does any here have any advise on how to get around the one way ticket. Into thailand .
@peteonretreat2023 Жыл бұрын
For $15 onwardticket . com is definitely worth it. I do know some people will just try to check into the airline first and wait to see if the proof is required before doing anything. I personally just feel better knowing it’s taken care of if needed.

Hey pete ..whats the catch with one way ticket to thailand , do i need to get an onward flight somewhere close.. getting mixed messages.. any advice.. heard they dont let in with one way tickets..
@peteonretreat2023 Жыл бұрын
Officially, you’re supposed to have an onward or return flight but in my personal experience (and what I commonly hear), it depends entirely on the airline you’re using. I needed an onward flight coming in from the US on Cathay Air but wasn’t asked for it coming in from Laos on Thai Smile. It’s very rare they ask for it once you’re here, it’s generally when checking in with your airline. Popular options include a cheap throwaway ticket to Cambodia, spend more to get a refundable ticket and cancel it, actually plan a trip (lol), or use a service like onwardticket. com. $15 gets you a verifiable reservation.

@@peteonretreat2023 i had a few replies back ,saying some visa agents can help if you dont have the 800k . Is that just hype..
@peteonretreat2023 Жыл бұрын
@@petepana1140 no, that’s absolutely true and somewhat standard offering for the big agents at least. They’ll open an account for you with as little as $15 US in it and do some shenanigans to be able to show something else. If you’re moving here, you’ll want a Thai bank account anyway. They’re very useful for paying bills and more.
