That's how we do it in our Formula car. Each driver has a molded seat insert because they're basically sitting on the firewall of the car. It's the only way to achieve actual bolstering and hold each driver in the optimal position.

that would possibly be a gamechanger... imagine there´s simracing competitions where the winner gets invited to a test drive, if there´s recognizable potential the driver gets to make their required licenses and gets to race... it would probably just take a few success stories for this to get more and more common and it would provide a chance for drivers who don´t have rich parents who got them into a karting club at 7 years old to prove themselves and work themselves up into more prestigeous racing series...

Feel ya, I remember asking on a stream once how he'd feel when his channel hit 50k subs (he was around 15-20k then) and thought it was an unreachable milestone. Well that amount has since been blown out of the water and we're watching him prepare for a proper racing series in a car that is give my left nut to drive for 20 minutes. I used to dislike sim racing. I raced in real life why would I need to? I thought it was a bit over the top how serious people took it. Then I started watching Jimmy on KZbin and thought "that actually looks quite fun" got myself a g29 and here we are, 5 years later and full on addicted to Sim racing. Jimmy once said "the cars aren't real but the racing is" and that is 100% true. I get the same feeling in sim racing as I do racing in real life trying to overtake someone or defending my position. I get so happy when I see sim racers get the chance to do it for real. I'm also happy when people who have only done it in real life start sim racing.

I feel like one of the most useful things for Jimmy to do now would just be to spend significant amounts of time in any kind of high downforce track car. Maybe that's not logistically feasible, but your body is going to need to get used to driving at high speed and that's something that can only come with time in the seat. Hopefully there are some economical ways to accumulate track time at speed.
