For the love of God Lesley! Get some down pants girl! 😂 Well done for getting out there in the snow. I'm very jealous. It's been such a long time since I've managed to get out for a camp. Great Sunday morning viewing.

@trickofthetrail Haha who needs posh pants when you've got Primark thermal leggings? Your last camp was just really amazing though but I do hope you get out again in the snow. Thanks for watching and by the way, I got a dji action 4 but couldn't get it activated via the app so sent it back. What a total idiot....

Thats a great camp Lesley, well done and thanks for sharing. I could say all sorts about the danger you might have faced, but Im sure youre aware and you werent actually that far from your car. I dont know about your sleep kit, but I find a closed cell z-lite style mat and a foil mat gives you extra insulation from the floor, and layering up in your bag helps too. Thermals, couple of pairs of woolen socks (I cant sleep if my feet are cold), leggings, mid layers and even sleeping in my down jacket and down trousers all helps.

@PhilWaud Ah yes thanks for watching, I do have all that but I'm such a cold sleeper! I've literally got z closed cell, then foil, then the Light tour 5.8, then the Rab 900, plus thermal leggings, not wool.socks as I'm itchy with wool! I did a.practise camp near home at -3 degrees to test the kit but somehow the Peak District seemed colder. Yes, I'm very cautious so didn't try to go high up, but in my heart I wanted to be up on the tops but caution won as I was just half hour from car. Thanks again for commenting.

That was a great bit of viewing Lesley. I know that you were a bit apprehensive about where you'd pitched, but what a view you had over the reservoir.👍 Despite you feeling the cold a little, your tent looked nice and cosy, especially when you had those lights on. That view in the morning looked so peaceful and tranquil. This was a great watch with some lovely footage of the scenery, also, it was ace to see you out in the snow and enjoying yourself. Thanks for the video.👍🙂

@Hengists_Wild_Camps hey thanks! Hope you didn't mind me mentioning you. It really struck me that I just wanted to get back to the car and a cooked breakfast! Have you ever stayed out on consequetive nights in the snow? The next afternoon walk I was near Rushup in the snow drifts but don't have an action camera yet. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it.

@Chilternwildcamper Cheers Lesley and yes I've done multi day snow camps in the past. It's not too bad doing that as they usually don't involve walking that far due the limited daylight.👍

Great video Lesley - really enjoyed it. Great cheeky pitch given the circumstances. I’d have done the same. Stunning snowy scenes on kinder. Sorry that the rab 900 bag didn’t work for you fully in those conditions (especially since we all recommended it). Personally, I’ve never felt the cold in that bag. Everyone’s different though, so perhaps being a cold sleeper you may need a more substantial bag (if pad, mat and tent are sound). Worth trying a different clothing layering system and the usual other stuff before you go forking out on a new one. Decent advice on the sea to summit blog entitled ‘why your sleeping bag isn’t keeping you warm’ A great experience either way. Keep up the great work Lesley 👍🏼

@craig-outdooradventure4632 Haha it's not the sleep system I had all the gear I have thought about it since and I'd had flu proper bad the week before, wasn't fully well! Love the Rab 900. Hey guess what, I bought a dji osmo 4 camera but couldn't activate it via the app tried everything then got a refund, what an idiot! Am wondering about either trying again or going GoPro 12 .... what do you think? I really want a proper camera asap. Thanks for commenting, hope you get out camping lots.

@@Chilternwildcamper Yes, seasonal flu has been doing the rounds - we've all had it recently. Hope you're recovering. I've heard good things about the osmo 4, but I've only used the GoPro. Not sure what's happening with the apps. I've moved away from editing with the phone apps, editing software with PC seems better quality. Keep up the great work. All the best

Super adventure Lesley, and I love that image of your tent at 18:20. As you know, we just completed a cold camp too (minus 4 I think, so similar), though my tent is so much smaller it probably provided me with slightly more warmth, at the expense of comfort! Keep up the great content. -Hedley

@hedleythorne Hey thanks for watching, yes I saw your cold camp and agree a small tent is good, I've also got a Helm 1 but it's got some mesh which let's the cold wind in. Women are apparently about 10 degrees colder sleepers than men and so I doubt I'll be on a summit snow camp anytime soon!

@OldtricksForolddog that's an interesting idea, but for me I'm OK out and about, it's just the 3am thing and my hands while taking the tent down and shaking off all the ice. I've now just bought waterproof gloves too! Thanks I appreciate your commenting.
