Hello Hannah, We just wish to clear up the fact that the FTMO Account was reset to 100k as you described. The withdrawal was no mistake as we do withdraw the profits from the FTMO Accounts when we start processing the Profit Splits. If a trader decides to leave some profits in the account, we deposit this amount back later. For some traders that we know that regularly do not make withdrawals, we might wait with the withdrawal but otherwise, that was our standard process. Sorry for the scare it gave you, we wish you the best of luck with all your trade setups!

Dont keep a buffer in your ftmo account, fund your own accounts. Are ftmo matching it ? Of course there not, they still took 30%. Build your own accounts where you keep 100%. Prop firms go bust all the time dont leave your money there its better in your bank. Also they do not increase your daily loss limit so theres not really any compounding advantage. Ftmo is great but use the money you make there to build your own accounts that you have 100% control over. Would love a video on tax efficiencys of being LTD rather than self employed, as all the other youtubers seem to avoid the subject. Today must be your second profit split hope it went well and looking forward to that video 😁

💗💛💚💙 Ive been around for 10yrs day trading and I agree. Prop firms take huge splits. Theres no reason to be there if you train yourself. Their splits are killer over time...

@Lemon Lust absolutely. Is it easy? Not at first. You just need to study and practice over and over. Whatever you learn backtest it. Either on mt4 or tradingview. After you've put in the time, dedication and work you'll build an account and slowly see the results.

Actually you know what, the idea of keeping a buffer makes a lot of sense from a psychological standpoint instead of just starting the account at no gain after every profit split and not having to risk going in the negative on a new month. Ill keep that in mind after my next profit split! Cheers!

Pay for mentorship, you'll become a pro trader faster than watching KZbin.. for starts I'll recommend you find mentors that teach SMC proper.. cuz institutional trading beats retail trading.. it'll definitely help you with passing the challenges and being profitable.. 🙃

I have been trading for 6 months and I am going to take the FTMO challenge in September since August is quiter month for trading (I am writing this on 15th August). I think you are very wise and a great trader to make 10% in one month and then make 5% to get the 100,000 account. And the following month make nearly 10% again is not easy. I have heard nobody to set up a limited company for their ftmo account, so they can pay less in taxes and heard one ftmo trader who left her profit in the account to have a buffer and I think that is really smart, so it can provide you either bigger position size or less stress as there is bigger buffer. Thank you for sharing your experience you have definitely inspired me going into the challenge.

Back in December I went on youtube to findout what other people are saying about FTMO and found this video. Little did I know this video will take me to some many places emotionally. Institutional trader with 20 years experience here. Great video and congratulations on your success. When you make profit, withdraw at least 10% of your profit for 2 reasons. 1) for motivation. ( it will pushes you forward) 2) to be on the safe side if everything goes south. My advice is to never fully withdraw the profit or never fully leave it in your account. Other than that, keep it up. :)

I think you gotta withdraw your first earnings. Leaving for the next month is the best thing for brokers or funds. Withdraw and compound your own account.

Sir, IF support/resistance levels on 2 different time frames are the same level (example daily & 4H or 4H & 1H charts) does it mean that such S/R level is more likely to hold? Institutions work with daily & 4H charts--so these levels should carry more weights.For price action at S/R level which chart is better--15 minute OR 5 minute.Any suggestions,ideas? Thank you :) LTD over being a sole trader just allows us to be more tax efficient and more flexible with how we pay ourselves. You can start doing your own research into this by just looking at the differences in tax for the 2. Scrape knowledge from HMRC, that's what I did. I've still got lots to learn :)

Shubh most prop firms are focused on intraday trading or short term swing trading. a lot of prop firms don’t allow to hold positions over night and most prop firms don’t allow to hold positions over the weekend. Why it is like that, has different reasons, depends on the specific prop firm. But most prop firms have such rules, because they want their traders to open a lot of trades in a short period of time, because most prop firms not only make money through the profit split, but also make money through spreads and commissions, just like brokers do.

Shubh but i don’t think, that that should be a reason to not work with a prop firm. Like it’s free capital. Why not trade with it? If you are a swing trader but lack the right amount of capital then you should think about adjusting your trading plan and system in a way that you can trade profitably with borrowed capital from a prop firm. The Good thing is, most swing traders can also perform great as day or intraday traders while most day or intraday traders can not perform well as swing traders

Hi Hannah, just a quick question on the platform your using. So you trade on their platform or can you trade on any platform? What I mean is it like the normal leverage options available where you have you trade on their platform or do you have the option to trade on any other platform?? I hope I haven't confused you
