Another example of a small finish adding so much value and aesthetic appeal to a home. Well done. $160 spent adding way more value.

I'm enjoying the shorter videos. Those stairs look better than many I've seen before and they are a great improvement over what was there, aka bare ground.

I'm really liking the short ,more frequent videos. However I always like the long ones too, nice work as always. I was thinking a small retaining wall would be nice but I think you have a good plan going already.

I quite like the texture the osb added to the steps even if you've had to buff it out a bit. I also liked the attention to detail with the brushed finish. Nice work as always.

The days are shorter and the dark comes quicker, but you need to hurry because it is going to get too cold to paint soon. Always good to use spare materials! Not shire what you were doing with the drill on the steps. The concrete looks good.

You won the KZbin lottery. It's important you take full advantage of that. Great idea posting multiple smaller videos per week instead of one video every two weeks heh! I like it. Still think you should do some more interlacing of your commentary though, rather than just do it at the end of the video. Instead of overlaying music, you could overlay the commentary if you really like giving the explanations. Makes it much more palpable.

You should be able to pick up a PVC coupling with a rectangular end for a downspout. We have those on ours. I don't think you'll want the end crimped because it'll restrict the flow and could get blocked if you don't have gutter guards.

Yeah, if you want to be tasked with another project this will help with the longevity of the wood. But if you’re looking to sell it now or rent it for a while then sell, may not be worth the headache to you.

Very minor nitpicking, but the lower pad could have been slanted a bit. Now I can already see some water pooling up at the base of the steps.

will water drain down the back of the berm? it looks like it could puddle in the bottom corner of the concrete step, might jsut be the angle.
@juliebaker6969
@juliebaker6969 2 ай бұрын
I know that on camera, things can look quite different than they do in person, so I hope my observation is just a trick of the camera. It looks to me like that concrete pad is basically in a low spot in the yard, and that everything around it is higher than it is. I hope that's not the case, because if it's, it's going to become a wading pool in a hard rain. Is there a way for the water to drain off, or is it being in a hole just an optical illusion?
@TheTlangdon

I have a sloping yard. We had to install several retaining walls. Time will tell but I believe mud will completely cover the walk if nothing is done to hold back the sloping soil.
@juliebaker6969
@juliebaker6969 2 ай бұрын
@TheTlangdon Yeah, he said he was going to cut the slope down to make it less of an angle. I just didn't see any sign of proper drainage in that area though.
