Not sure how you came across my feed but boy oh boy am I glad you did! XC90 nerd here (as well as a needs a litlle less tech stick shift gal!) and your channel is a breah of fresh air in these youtube/cartube streets!

An excellent review Bern that was honest and straightforward. I will admit that street performance of the GX exceeds that of the LC. I previously owned a Lexus RX and bought the LC because i preferred its looks over the GX. It takes some time getting used to the sound of a 4 cylinder motor but i am very happy with my purchase. I think that the LC will be a little better than the GX off road since its approach angle will be its archilles heel.

Thank you much! Yeah I agree. The Lexus' are certainly more enjoyable on the pavement haha 😆 I really do like the LC a lot too.

I'd be fully satisfied with Army Green. That color is better for the Toyota while the Lexus gets the more classy Nori Green.

The LC front end looks like someone shoehorned in an after thought front end bumper and grill, built with children connect blocks, like Lego lol. The GX front looks like it is a properly manufactured front end lol

THANK YOU for finally admitting this is a Prado. Everyone is talking about the “new” Landcruiser, but it’s not. It’s the new Prado, and NOW available in the states. If you want the LC then you either buy an LX600 or leave the country to get the LC300

@@BernonCars insert some images/videos of the previous Landcruiser Prado 120/150 series so that it's way more clear to your viewers who still don't understand that the GX has always come from the Prado and that's why there's now a 250 series (for future videos). Because although the front ends and internals may differ, the back end of the GX 470/460 has always been identical to the LC120/150 and it will help them understand that the side opening tailgate on the GX470/460 was due to the fact that the Prado was offered with a version that had a tire carrier on that rear door which allowed for an extended range fuel tank from factory (150 Liters as opposed to 90 liters only when the spare is mounted under the vehicle), and you'll see we had a cooler version of the Prado globally that was a 2 door short wheelbase variant. Hopefully that little Prado/GX sisterhood history would make for a good video to help NA market buyers realize why the price is lower and what the vehicle actually is because other car channels constantly calling it the successor to the 200 series is going to lead to a lot of disappointment when people expect more from the 250 than what it's actually aimed for at its level. Love the videos! Keep up the hard work and greetings from South Africa where we get the diesel version and a third row option! 😊😊

The best Land Cruisers are, once again, sold by Toyota Gibraltar Stockholdings. They have the Prado (without the Prado badge😢) with the 2.8 liter diesel engine and a 29 gallon tank. The old one had a 40 gallon tank tho...

Love your reviews! Since you’ve reviewed both vehicles and i’m talking strictly from a driving perspective acceleration, transmission shifting ( no technology comforts) how does the 550 compare to the 470? Which one did you like better ?

Thank you!! Hmm. I honestly like how the 550 drives more in that sense! I appreciate the extra giddy up, and the drivetrain seems pretty responsive and seamless, at least with this one!

Yeah, I’m good. Sat in the GX550, and saw no reason to upgrade from my 460. By comparison, the GX550 is smaller and more narrow for tall drivers. The interior materials look and feel worse, and I’m not a fan of the grey plastic on grey plastic theme Lexus has in its new lineup. I do like the look of heritage version of the Land Cruiser more than the GX550. Dislike the under headlight vents on the GX - that’s a Toyota truck cue, and makes the grille look like Gene Simmons face paint. Rear lockers on the GX550 is nice - the 460 never got those.
