Fun fact about choosing your echoes, you can select a different echo from the notebook, which gives you a much easier way to choose ones you haven't used in while. I always had the few I used often like bombfish, bed, lynel, etc. at the front and then whenever I wanted like a wizzrobe or something I didn't use often I would just open the notebook, which would bring that thing to the top meaning I could switch off and back to it easily

It's all about that outfit more so than the face behind it.

I absolutely love this game! It feels so different and familiar at the same time. Once I was able to explore on my own, I uncovered almost 80% of the map before I continued the main quest. Being able to climb on top of background trees, create platforms to higher hills and enter almost every cave freely that would have otherwise been barriers or locked behind equipment or world progression in previous games was so much fun. Having the ability to unlock fast travel points through exploration then using them later to travel to major points during main quests was also a tremendous help to speed up the progress.

Yeah not sure what he was on about with that comment, granted it probably didn't need as much since all the mechanics and map layouts were already set they just had to redesign the visual assets and make sure the mechanics worked correctly in the new style. This game did however need to be developed from pretty much scratch in terms of mechanics and map.

Remaking a game does NOT require as much dev as making an original one, mate. You know how long it takes to come up with ideas??? It's like saying redrawing an animated cartoon frame by frame takes as much time as making an original one. No, the drawing time itself is the same, but you're taking away the time it took to come up with the entire idea, storyboards, etc.

I avoided all trailers except that first one that just happened watching the direct. Glad i did. Does remind me of minish caps feel and mario at times. Im thoroughly enjoying it and love how the music has its layering and variance.

I completed my 3rd 100% run of this game yesterday and came to this channel to see his approach if only to try to put off starting a 4th run while I instead get laundry and other things done. This game is so good. Pro tip: Find similar echoes faster by pressing "+" when on keese, octo, fish, zol, etc. Also, bombs are better than many people realize.

One thing i learned last night is most of your Echoes will attack almost immediately after they are summoned. To avoid the lag from one hit to the next, i respawn it after the first attack. This doesnt work well with long range attackers since they tend to create distance before attacking. I was also stuck on that pillar you mentioned at 10:45 and there is an echo found by going down the ladder that helps with this.

I don't even think they need a radial wheel or anything, just a new customizable "favorites" tab in the quick menu. That way when you open it, you could default to "sort by favorites," but you could still choose the other sort options as well. I think that would make managing echoes MUCH easier!

Firstly, SLAYING the Zelda cosplay, you look fab, Wood 💕 Secondly, I’m LOVING this game so far! Been playing since the morning of the release & I haven’t gotten bored of it yet 😅 Hadn’t finished BotW because I felt like it was taking foreverrrr, but I did enjoy playing it for the while I did. I’m thinking of going back & finishing BotW after I finish Echoes of Wisdom, actually! This game feels finish-able to me, yet still so much to explore. I think the art-style is adorable. I’m loving the storyline & the characters are kinda funny. The puzzles are so satisfying to complete. And, I *actually* enjoy the unique combat system. Finding the right echo to fight for you can be challenging, but feels rewarding when you take the enemy down. I’ve only been using Sword-fighter mode in really tight situations, like the Jabul Waters boss was tough. Anyways, I’m loving the game, I definitely see myself ✨actually finishing this one✨, & I’ll probably run it again in Hero Mode my 2nd time! Loving seeing the Princess saving Link & her kingdom this time 💪🏽 Probably my most favorite Zelda game I’ve played thus far. 💯

You can also open the notebook and select your echoes from there, it's MUCH easier. It even shows the "notebook" button when you open the echo scrolling bar

I think one of my favorite parts is the small amount of the front of the dress that is being chroma keyed out and showing the background through. It just adds to the delightful chaos of the video.

Enemies hit twice as hard, no hearts drop, some items are hard nerfed. That’s what I remember, i just glanced at the description right when i launched. I’ve been enjoying the ‘easier’ mode because it gives me the space to get silly with my puzzle solutions.

My solution for the quick scroll menu would be to just have the full menu on the pause screen like the do and let you pick which ones you want to populate your quick scroll menu. Personally I heavily used like 10 different items and some I never used at all. If I could make a quick scroll menu with 25 items that I choose from the start screen it would’ve made it a lot easier. Still very much enjoyed the game though

I'm a newish Zelda player, BOTW was my first game since the original Gameboy game I half heartedly played as a kid. So correct me (kindly) if I'm wrong but echos of wisdom feels like the most girlypop Zelda game ever and I'm 1000% eating it up! What do you mean you can avoid combat and send your minions to do it for you? What do you mean if the vibe isn't right I can just summon a bed and go to sleep? What do you mean I have a cute lil adventure friend so I don't have to be scared exploring alone??? I LOVE THIS GAME!!

Wow! That costume dude! Such a lovely princess! 🤣 I freaking love this game! I was so worried that it was going to be overly complicated or super grindy, but it isn't. It's just really cute and fun. And it makes you feel smart when you stack a bunch of random stuff and figure out how to get somewhere or solve a puzzle. I will agree that the UI could be better. There should be more ways to organize learned Echos by different types. Like: furniture, plants, enemy type, elemental type, etcetera. It would also be better as a grid rather than just a really long line of everything you've learned. But that's my only real complaint. I still love the game. OMG I didn't realize how freaking useful the sea urchins are! Gonna have to use them more now. LOL

Using the notebook via the + button is much quicker to choose your echos, once you get further in the game, and the scroll gets too long, then leave the scroll bar in most recent or most used for quick access to your favourites.

I absolutely agree with that UI complaint. Its needs a ‘favourites’ option. And having rows also sounds like a really good idea too Also, the game absolutely needs a 2nd and 3rd Echo slot, using one at a time is draining. Which can be easily done Just make L - Bind A - Interact / Spin And then you can have Y, X and R as echo slots

I gotta be honest I’ve been playing for a few hours now. This is a fantastic game. It doesn’t always need to be about slashing swords although you get that it’s just relaxing and fun to play. Just to sit back and just play hours of it and find new things its just amazing.!! I love it.

In regards to the endless line of echoes to pick from, i wish you could tuen certain echoes off from the list like do u need 3 different pots? Why not turn 2 off. Or the statues turn the ones you dont need off. The creatures u dont use turn them off. Etc u can access echoes in the + menu so to toggle selective ones on and off would be handy

The end of the news sounds very good and I really hope they follow through with him. When I saw how Star Wars Outlaws was doing I was so worried that they were going to like close the company or cancel the dlc, but it's really heartwarming to see that they're going to stick with it. I'm having such a fun time with this game despite people saying it's terrible and I hope the best for it
