I have loved this song for decades. Over the years I have had other people listen to it, and it has surprised me by how many people miss the message in the lyrics. For anyone who might not understand, the lyrics tell the story of metal having no form at first, then worked by a blacksmith's hammer into the shape of a nail. But not just any nail, but one of the nails driven into the flesh of Christ as he is nailed to the cross at Calvary. The nail describes its fate and purpose as to take the life of a 'guiltless man' meaning Christ, who had no guilt but gave his life to pay our debt of sin. It's an interesting viewpoint, as to see it through the eyes of the nail. Bebo Norman's voice and timing are completely on point. An excellent recording, and I was very excited to see it featured on your channel. Thank you for reacting to it for us, please keep up the great work! ❤

The guitar and his singing went beautiful together . This was from his album " Ten Thousand Days " and the song was released in 1999 I do believe . I do know a little about this artist .
