So many reaction channels start out by saying they've never heard of Mike + The Mechanics. Little did they know, by the end of the song it would become a life changing experience. This is one of the most eye-opening and emotional songs ever written.

Vocalist is Paul Carracķ. Mike is Mike Rutherford of Genesis. He is lead guitarist here and is sèen with his son on the video. He wrote this song for his father

My dad died when I was 6years old and now I'm 68yearsold and this song was released in 1989 and my girl was born in 1985 and the first time I hear this song I cried like a baby ❤❤

This song hits fast and hard and goes right to the heart of its listener. It is a warning sang in a most beautiful way with a Choir background and vocals with enough soul and range to move one emotionally. What the singer heralds in this song is immensely important and by the very nature of its content and subject matter can be classified as an appeal to it's listener that goes far beyond just listening for pleasure. It was performed in love and delivered through a song. Great reaction!

My Dad and I weren't close, when he died in Aug'22 there was still a lot of things left unsaid. This song never fails to turn me into a blubbering mess.

I can tell you are emotional which is natural, when I first heard this song from other Reactors they all were emotional too. It's a fact of life, beautifully written & also the lyrics. Excellent song & very true. xx
