Filipino's love donuts because growing up we are exposed to a lot of freshly baked goodies. in every neighborhood there's a lot of bakery, it is like in every corner of the streets just like 7-11. We have local donuts which we love and most of these baked goodies are sweet too that's why Donuts are popular in our country as we love baked sweets. You should try local bakery in one of the neighborhood outside BGC because those are really freshly baked and the real thing than the one being sold in the mall.

Manila is also a "western city" in the sense that it is located at the west of the Metro Manila region (now NCR). Beyond that area is NOT Manila anymore. In this case, BGC is NOT in Manila. It's in Taguig. Both in NCR but each a city on its own.

Filipinos should stop tolerating all these foreigners not being diligent nor respectful always misnaming their city location. Manila is Manila. Taguig is Taguig. Both are in NCR but each a city on its own. BGC is NOT In Manila. BGC is in TAGUIG.

Manila is the only city in the world where you can find an old Spanish town (Intramuros) , the biggest Chinatown in the world (Binondo), a Koreatown (Malate,), an Italian, Venice like Grand Canal complete w/ a canal n gondola, n soon a Paris like area across the Pasig river like the Latin Quarter along the Seine river , but still on going restoration....n of course the American like city of NY or San Francisco in BGC, Makati, Eastwood City etc.....this is why its more fun in the Philippines....

Correction.. Venice Grand Canal Mall area is NOT in Manila. It's in Taguig. And no, "Metro Manila" and "Manila" are NOT the same thing. "Metro Manila" (formally the NCR) is a region. "Manila" is just one of many cities in it. In fact, Manila is merely 4% of the NCR -- bear that in mind before calling everything here as Manila.
