To answer some questions: the first song was from the movie, hence the different more detailed art style. The cutie marks are a symbolic representation of a pony's talents and skills they will apply in their lives. For example, the southern pony you like is named Applejack and her cutie mark is normally a trio of red apples. Symbolizing her talent of working her family's apple farm. However a pony is not born with a cutie mark. Though the age differs some, when a young pony grows up enough and starts experimenting with skills and jobs they eventually find their one true talent and the cutie mark magically appears. The last two songs were about the main characters friends having their marks magically switched around and being bad at what they believed they were supposed to be doing their whole lives. Which brings us to the last item that changed them, the magical artifacts known as The Elements of Harmony. Which became tied to the 'Mane Six' (Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy) in the first episodes of the show. A spell cast in their presence rearranged who they were bonded to and changed the characters marks as a result. (Seriously, go watch the first episodes sometime and see just how interesting the show started off. It is not what you'd expect of a little kids cartoon.)

+Project Senpai Hey there. I just found your video, and I can tell you some things here. The first one you saw was from My Little Pony: The Movie. The character who sung the song is named "Tempest Shadow", who is kind of like a pony version of Darth Vader from Star Wars. And she is voiced by Emily Blunt, who you might know her from films like The Devil Wears Prada, Jungle Cruise, and Mary Poppins Returns. For the second song, I don't think I should tell you much about it for spoiler reasons, although I will say that part of the song is a reference to the reprise of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" in the 1989 Disney film The Little Mermaid. As for the third and forth songs, I will say that you questioned about the marks on the ponies asses. They're called cutie marks (or as I like to called them Butt Symbols. LOL!), and you're close to what they represent. They represent a pony's special talent/skill/power. However, they are not born with one, as they don't appear until later in life. About around 7-10 years old roughly. Which you will understand as you watch the series. As for the necklaces, well once again I won't give away spoilers, but you'll find out when you start watching the series. Anyway, glad you liked some of the songs so far. Hope to see more in future.

To be clear. Its the purpose in their life that they find, not their talent. They discover something they have a talent for, and the mark appears when they realize that this is what they want to spend their life doing or pursuing. The following is a spoiler: This is made clear with the crusaders, they each have very clear talents, as they each are incredibly talented in athletics, the arts and fashion, and acrobatics respectively. But neither one got their marks in those things, because what they realized was they wanted to spend their lives helping others realize their own purpose in life, together.

Pretty much every song on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series was written by Daniel Ingram, who has won dozens of awards for his work. The songs use a Broadway theme approach, as they are used as a means to deliver an engaging emotional impact that drives the plot along. They have a purpose and while enjoyable on their own accord, they are often integral to the episode's plot. It should also be noted that Weird Al Yankovic and Sia have provided their voices to pony characters.

As you're exploring this, it's important to note that there are more than one series. "Friendship is Magic" is the main series, which included the last three songs you watched here, while the first was from the MLP movie. You'll also get requests for Equestria Girls music, which is a spin-off series of shorts and movies involving the characters as humans in high school. My recommendation is that, if you're thinking seriously about watching the series, to vet any song requests from Friendship is Magic through polls and comment sections, as they can be quite spoilery. All three songs you watched from the main series here involved heavy visual spoilers for their season finales. It's fine if there's no intent to pursue the series, but it irks me to see people suggesting such high-profile finale pieces as a FIRST WATCH.
@BlackBurrito9073 Жыл бұрын
It's not that big of a deal, the show itself it's not supposed to be taken too seriously, and besides... Without context the things shown in the songs are not that spoilery. It would be different tho if people started requesting reactions to songs like "In my Head like a Catchy Song" or "How the Magic of Friendship Grows". Since those two hold too much emotional value in them to watch them without context.

There is a whole arc dedicated to some kid ponies figuring out how to get a cutie mark, which eventually expands to figuring out what exactly it is. Their conclusion seems to be that it is either a special talent the pony has or their destiny (aka what they will become), and it marks the coming of age of a pony, since it also goes along with figuring out what they will do with their life. That alone is super fascinating, and there are a couple songs centered around these kids (the Cutie Mark crusaders) I would love to see a reaction to :D

The last two songs are both from the same episode. The last one comes first, where we are shown that their cutie marks were switched around for some reason. The other one comes later, where they fix the whole problem. It may appear like a "different perspective", because only the first song you watched was how it actually appears in the show (or in its case, in the movie). The other three were official "music videos" where the scenes from the songs themselves were mixed with other scenes from their episodes. Thus, since the last two songs were from the same episode, they may have used the same scenes sometimes, sometimes even from the other song.

**(NOTE: I don't know English, I'm Latino and this is converted with the google translator, in case you don't understand it very well)** For me My Little Pony (G4) is one of the best series out there because: Its high point is its characters: its characters are very well written, they all have a very well defined personality; you have their lives, their dreams, their fears and you like them within 5 minutes of meeting them (and this is not only for the protagonists but for everyone) and throughout the entire series you can see how they progress in their lives; The characters, like their lives and their world, are not at all the same when the series begins as it ends. Another very good thing are the songs: the songs are works of art, they are wonderfully composed, each song has its own essence, its own theme; and they are not the type to interrupt the plot, on the contrary, they flow with it. The villains: the villains are very good, there are 1 or 2 that are half wasted but they are all memorable. And do not think that because it is a "childish" series, all the villains redeem themselves or do not suffer the consequences for their actions; NO. Half of the villains accept their role as villains, and suffer the consequences for it. His world: his world is HUGE so much so that it takes several seasons to get to places that are only mentioned before. Or another thing they do is introduce you to characters that belong to a certain race/species to go deeper into them in the future (where they come from, what their lifestyle is like, etc.) And his Lore is even better, especially with the theme of magic and everything that is involved. And it may seem like a cliché of the Barbi movies that they win with the power of friendship, but here that is refuted; there's a whole lore about how friendship is magical and it's not as silly as it sounds; the power of friendship is a real power that exists in that world, if they use it as a weapon (there is a villain who is disintegrated alive with that power, it is also noticeable that he suffered in the brief process) Another thing is its humor, references, and double meanings: although the series is focused on children at the beginning (in the fourth season it becomes for all audiences) there are many themes, references, and double meanings that only an adult audience will notice, in addition of situations that are really serious if you think about what is really happening (that is, the series has situations that do not seem so serious for how they are shown to you, but you just have to think a little about what is really passing to see the seriousness of the situation) Your community: this is one of the series that I have seen the most that listens to its community and that the community does more things from it. I mean, there are things that happen in the series because the fans asked for it, or others like episode 100 that is directed for the fans. And one thing that I like about a fandom are the fanarts, the animations, the songs, and the stories they create... well, those from this community are the best I've seen (whoever doesn't believe me, I challenge you to watch the animation "Lullabi for a Princess" or "Snowdrop" on KZbin and tell me you thought they were bad) And finally I am going to touch on something that has given a lot of talk in recent years, and it is inclusion: inclusion in this series should be taken as an example to follow. And it's that I'm fed up with seeing so much forced inclusion in the movies, Wokism, progressive and feminist shitty messages; plus LGBT crap. But as I said, the inclusion of this series is the best I've seen; not only because of a lot of criticism towards racism and having non-forced gay characters with a good development in their relationship, but because throughout the entire series we can see various characters who are disabled, invalids, and with mental illnesses/problems; And the best thing is that they show you like any other characters, what stands out about them is their personality, not their condition, that's inclusion.
@a2rhombus2 Жыл бұрын
Hell yes dude I really hope you end up watching the show, most of the songs are a million times better in context
@SebastianWeinberg Жыл бұрын
The main TV series has loads and loads of songs in a bewildering array of styles and musical genres, and they range in quality from "Okay" to "Holy shit! That's amazing!" The theatrical movie (where the first song came from) has a couple of good songs in it, and there is a spin-off series of TV movies and specials, called "Equestria Girls", that is set in a parallel world, where human versions of the ponies attend high school. EQG has _mostly_ generic teen pop songs (especially at the beginning), with a couple exceptions (particularly the later villain songs). This spin-off also has some standalone music videos that showcase more variety than the main movies. A word of warning, if you're going to take suggestions from the comments: You will inevitably get lots of recommendations for songs that were very impactful or emotionally moving *_in context_* but that are either incomprehensible or musically uninteresting, when experienced context-free in isolation. The song _A True, True Friend_ that you listened to is one of those that are very confusing without the context from the show in general (What these characters are normally like, what the butt marks symbolise, and what those necklaces are) and the episode-specific context about the massive mix-up of memories and destinies that is being fixed here. But at least it's _musically_ interesting, with the harmonies being built up and up and _up_ in each repetition, layer by layer, with each character that joins into the chorus, even if the story being told is hard to make out. My go-to example for a song that is a terrible suggestion, out of context, is one called _In Our Town_ (or just _Our Town)._ You are practically _guaranteed_ to get several recommendations for it, because in the context of the episode it's an important villain statement, and because in the context of the show the character who sings it becomes _very_ important later on in the series, inflating the perceived importance of this song in retrospect. But without all that meta-context, the song is _completely boring!_ Being boring and uninspired is, in fact, _the entire point_ of this song. It literally advocates passionless mediocrity and rigidly adhering to the lowest common denominator, and thus Daniel Ingram deliberately chose to score it as a bog-standard march rhythm without any flair or interesting flourishes. And yet, some fans will inevitably recommend it for non-fans to listen to, devoid of all this context that makes it interesting - and then they wonder why it fails to amaze people. To throw some recommendations of my own out: _Winter Wrap-up_ was one of the earliest songs in the series that really made people sit up and take notice for the first time, and I feel it still holds up. _A Kirin Tale_ from much later in the series is funny, bouncy, and requires little context, because its whole point is to serve as exposition in the episode. _The Smile Song_ a.k.a. _Smile, Smile, Smile_ is another early one that's dear to my heart, because I'm a total sucker for those "This is who I am" character songs, but I contend that it's still a banger, even absent my personal fondness. Make sure, though, not to accidentally stumble into "Smile HD", which is an absolutely brutal, bloody, over-the-top violent fan animation that uses this song as background music.

One thing Daniel Ingram (write most of the gen 4 MLP music) is good at is villain songs. The reasons the series has done so well is because the themes aren't exclusively kid-based, and the show doesn't talk down to it's audience. It hits 3 check boxes of a kids show, no swearing, no sex, and no realistic violence. But it never talks down to its audience and covers some surprisingly complex themes so it gets emotional reactions from a lot of people. To answer some of your questions - particularly the 2nd song, the This Day Aria, so spoilers but you asked :P That's a 2 parter season finale, and it revolves around Princess Cadence's (the pink alicorn (unicorn with wings) with the pink, purple and yellow hair) wedding preparation. And she's a complete bitch throughout the episode. Come to find out she's been replaced by a shapeshifter, and this song takes place right after the shapeshifter reveals herself and imprisons one of the characters with the real princess. For the 3rd song - the cutie marks are the butt tattoos, and they're basically a representation of some special talent or quality of the character. This was also a season finale and due to some magic shenanigans, the marks of the main characters got flipped around and their souls and personalities got cluttered together. So the song about the marks telling them what to do is them being out of sorts, and the True True Friends song is putting them back together. By doing what they're good at (which is what the other character was failing at), they can re-learn who they're supposed to be. I love the theme that you can learn who you are by helping others. Lot more interesting than what most people imagine when they hear "kids shows."

The "butt tattoos" are indeed called Cutie Marks and they show up on their flanks when they find their talent/purpose in life. This show, while originally developed for pre-teen girls, is about self discovery and overcoming hardship through friendship. That plot point along with great music and a good sense of humor is what really connected with both Millennials and GenZ. I personally HIGHLY recommend you react to the whole series as there is some amazing episodes and movies in its 9 seasons of running. So the second song is from the core show. And yes, MLP has bodysnatchers. The first is from the 2019 movie, but the show does get a visual upgrade (slightly) after that movie. And just so you have the knowledge, marks are an identifier. If you have a bunch of skills, but you discover you're unusually good at a specific one, you get your mark in that talent. But Equestria has diseases and anomalies that can sometimes jumble marks and even the memories of ponies, leading to those last two songs. Ponies getting swapped around and forgetting their real talent but not being able to complete the tasks of their mismatched talent. Everyone gets one mark, appearing around their teen years, and will live with it for life. But marks can evolve in their meaning; they're a source of magic and can be redefined or lose their power entirely. It's like having a buff in one skill, but you can stop doing that thing and really hurt yourself.

In a true true friend song their destinys were switched and the necklaces helped restore their original destinies. last 2 songs were from the same episode. last one comes before true true friend. twilight the purple pony tries to complete an ancient spell and mess up her friend's cuti marks. then when she fixes it she ascends from a unicorn to an alicorn. Becomeing the 4th alicorn in the series. An alicorn has earth pony, pegasus, and unicorn abilities essentially

Id recommend Luna's Future, In our Town, and two really insanely good fan songs based on the actual lore of the show: Lullaby for a Princess, and The Moon Rises!

Those 2 cutie mark songs were played in reverse order. A pony's cutie mark shows up when they figure out what they are meant to do in life. In that episode a magic spell goes wrong and switches all the main characters marks around. But they don't have the skills to go with it so they are all making a mess of each other's jobs. The first cutie mark song you played was them going to each girl and getting their mark straightened out with the help of the one who was supposed to do the job. Even without context these songs are lovely.

regarding the second song, the fake pony you talked about is Queen Chrysalis, she's the queen of the changelings, (they take the form of a person you love and feed off your love) the reason why the wedding was so big was because the pony she's impersonating is a princess herself and is marrying twilight's brother who's actually also the captain of the royal guards, twilight was trapped in the same place as Cadence(the real pony) because she found out somepony was impersonating princess cadence who is also very dear to her as she's also her old babysitter, and the others didn't believe her at all, and regarded her as a sister who is just unhappy her brother is marrying someone, queen chrysalis is also planning to take over equstria

MLP is a wonderful show. Most episodes are just chill slice of life episodes, but here and there you get a villain and a 2 parter. And this show has some really good villains. There's one villain named Lord Tirek who is just an absolutely ruthless psycho and probably the most violent villain in the show. The show was created by Lauren Faust, who had previously worked on shows like Powerpuff Girls. She did exit the show after season 2, but after she left they tried their best to keep the spirit of the show alive. For the most part it did just fine and was able to survive a 10 year, 9 season run.

The first was from the movie, and the last two were from the same episode but in reverse order. Without spoiling too much, something messed with their cutiemarks, causing them to pursue each others purpose in life which made a major problem. You got to see the resolution of that, before you got to see the problem itself. And yes, to some degree the cutiemarks are their powers, but in a symbolic sense. Its not that having one gives you power, its that when you find your purpose, your overriding ambition or goal in life, a mark symbolizing that vision for your life appears on your hip for all to see. Highly advice sitting down and watching this show, especially if you've got kids. So many great life lessons.

The last song is supposed to come before the other song A True, true friend but you did them out of order. Basically all their Cutie Marks got mixed up thanks to the necklaces (and Twilight Sparkle, the purple unicorn) and now Twilight has to show them who they were meant to be. I think their memories also got effected as well.

Song 1: It's from the movie, which was made using a new, experimental program. The show is animated in Flash, but the movie is animated in Toon Boom. The pony singing, Tempest, is a unicorn. There are 3 pony types, each with their own abilities, and unicorns can cast a vast assortment of spells. The purple pony is named Twilight Sparkle, and if you pay attention, she has wings in this song, while she doesn't in the other 3. Long story short, Twilight ascended to become an Alicorn, which is a pony with traits from all 3 pony species. The Alicorns are the ones who rule over Equestria, with Celestia at the head. Series creator Lauren Foust intended for Celestia to be a queen, but Hasbro insisted on the Alicorns all being princesses because they're more marketable. Song 2: The pony who's all beat up is named Cadence, and she's supposed to be marrying Twilight's brother Shining Armor. The black pony who sometimes looks like her is named Chrysalis, and she's not actually a pony, but a changling. Changlings can change their appearance to look like anyone, or anything. They feed on love, and Chrysalis is the changling Queen. She took Cadence's place because Cadence is the princess of love, and Shining Armor is the captain of the royal guard, and it was because of his magic that the changlings couldn't get into Canterlot to steal love from everypony. Song 4: This song is meant to be before Song 3, so I'll talk about it first. Cutie Marks are magical marks a pony gets once they realize their true talent. As part of her test to ascend as an Alicorn, Twilight accidentally swapped the cutie marks of her friends. This song is to show everypony failing miserably at doing the other pony's jobs, which they now think are their own due to the spell. Song 3: The necklaces are the Elements of Harmony, magic jewels the Mane 6 use to protect Equestria. When Twilight cast the spell that swapped everyone's cutie marks, it was through their connection to the elements that caused everypony's cutie marks to switch. Twilight figured out that she could use the elements magic to restore harmony by reminding everypony of their true talents. Afterwards, she was able to re-write the spell that caused the mess, and in doing so ascended.

Welcome to the herd, you are in for one hell of a ride if you stick with this. The mark is called a "Cutie mark" and it represents the destiny of the pony that has it. Also we call it a flank not an ass, just to keep it kid friendly.

For some information so you can understand a bit more the first song is based in the my little pony movie the others are in the series, you would understand what's going on in that certain song if you watched the movie. the second song is a song that was sung by Princess cadence and the changling (a being that can change into any pony/thing they feed off love to gain power) queen, queen Criysalis (i butchered that) the evil one is the changling queen pretending to be princess cadence to get close to prince charming bc prince charming is using a spell to keep a border around canterlot (a city ruled by princess celestia and princess luna) to stop the changlings from coming through, so she hypnotised prince charming so he could take down the barrier and let the changlings in, to infiltrate canterlot. the third 2 songs are a episode were the main 6 accidentally swap cutie marks (the mark on there bum is the mark that shows what there good at basically) twilight is the only one out of the 6 to still have her cutie mark so she finds everyone and helps them get there cutie marks to show them what there good at again bc they have different cutie marks they lost all there memories so to help her get there memories back she also gives them there element of harmony (the magic necklaces you see are the powers of the magic of friendship that help them defeat evil things) to help them, then they all get there memories and cutie marks back. i hope this helps you understand better. :)

7:21 For some background there was an evil queen called Chrysalis (who is pretty much just a bug) who feeds off of emotions, so she kidnapped Cadence (the pink/purple haired one) and impersonated her to marry her fiancé and feed of of him. (The guy who got mind controlled) That would have lead to inevitable death of thousands and world domination, but that’s a whole other thing. Her purpose was to feed of Shining Armour (the groom) and break down the magical barriers surrounding the city to allow her subjects (more evil bug-changelings) to take over the city and feed off of the emotions of everyone else. Ehh, just some usual stuff in the MLP Cinematic universe.

The wedding one, the villain is a shapeshifting succubus intent on staging a shakespearean coup to sabotage the defenses of canterlot by controlling the captain of the guard- the groom- so she can feed the citizens to her brood. For kids! True story, the whole thing started with an editorial mandate, they wanted to introduce a pink princess toy and a wedding playset.

Cutie marks represent a ponies special talent, and they are earned at a younger age. The last 2 songs were from the same episode, the last song you listene to is before the other song in the episode. The episode is the season 3 finale "magical mystery cure" but you shouldn't watch it first because it contains spoilers. Also the first song had the art style of the movie made by toon boom harmony. The style of the show is flash animation.

The Cutie Mark is a ln expression of a pony's true self that appears when a pony has discovered that special thing that they are meant to do, their special talent, their purpose, "that certain something that makes [them] special!" The pattern itself isn't necessarily unique to the pony, but it oft represents something unique about that specific pony and has something to do with their special talent. It's also possible to not entirely understand what your cutie mark means, even believe it means something entirely different from what it actually is. There are at least four known spells that mess with cutie marks, one of them requires unique magical artifacts to even cast, and we know of only two unicorns to have cast any of them (outside of their unknown spellcrafters).

Just a note. all the songs after the the first were, not just from the show, but the "music video" versions. they weren't the actual versions you would see in the show. they cut in scenes from other parts of those episodes. for example, this day aria, the "darker" pony wasn't revealed until after that song came on. the scene of the two "coming together" was from the climax of the ep. you have to be careful when trying to get the songs from the official channels. they do have episode versions, but it's hit or miss which on you'll get. when looking for songs there are some channels that would give better results Letupita725HD Flutter525 MLP Songs

A quick definition for cutie marks (their “tattoos”) They are earned when a pony finds that special thing that makes them unique. Specifically a talent. Someone who’s a singer may have a music related cutie mark. Pinkie pie (if you got the name from the song, she’s the fully pink one) has a balloon cutie mark as she’s a party planner. They each represent the ponies job/purpose in a way

If you're all right with fan-made songs "Lullaby for a Princess" is very well done and explains the conflict that leads to the events of episode 1 in the show. As for songs from the show "Art of the Dress" really speaks to the creatives watching and shows how easy it is to get overwhelmed when creating things for others.
