Munky and Head back again! Korn hasn't been the same without Head, which you can hear in the different styles Korn tried to do in his absence. They were good albums, they just weren't Korn enough.

A literal paradigm shift for Korn. In my opinion, the band finds Its footing again in this album after a going in a ton of different directions. SYOTOS was them trying new stuff, Untitled was them trying new stuff, The Path of Totality was them trying new stuff. You could argue that they've been trying to incorporate electronic elements for a while now, but HERE is where things click for me.

These next two albums, SOS and The Nothing really lean into the heavier side while keeping electronic influence. Then Requiem is a short, stripped back album that just highlights the what the band has done well for years. Enjoy the rest of the journey! Great review! I was really confused for a second at the end. I was gonna say you were missing the last two songs, “Wish I Wasn’t Born Today” and “Tell Me What You Want” which kinda bummed me out because Wish I Wasn’t Born Today, but then I realized it was because the version of the album I own is the deluxe edition and those 2 songs are just bonus songs and I’m just used to them being the final 2 songs on the album. This was a good review though, I was really looking forward to it. Can’t wait until the Serenity of Suffering review.

I'm glad you made it to when I feel like Korn finally came back, as strong as ever. This album Jonathan and Head kinda butted heads about whether the album should be more electronic or more balls out heavy, and I think this album was a compromise. This is where Korn started to "get back on track" after a few odd detours with their last couple albums (as others mention this is when Head came back). I'm glad that they brought back the more traditional Korn sound while still keeping in some electronics, though I think sometimes the electronics overtake things (i.e. Never Never).
