At this point Jonathan makes elegant numetal. Puts a lot more than before of his angelic, calm vocals melodies making a more surprising contrast with the usual aggressive parts. The epic ambience of issues in track 2, 3 and 5, disconnect is my favorite. I remember his vocals parts in untouchables or life is peachy where were in majority so creepy, suffering and anger. Since 2005 album he experiment more classy rock almost pop vocals melodies. Korn returns like 2002 since 2013 album. But this 2022 album is the finest numetal ever and best compendium of all discography influences.

Hey Molly, first off great Reaction as always ❤👍!, and The weird Vocal Thing Jonathan D. does in some of his songs is a Vocal Technique called "Scatting" and i think it has it's roots also in the early Jazz Music Scene (some Years ago) but he is implementing it into his style of metal music and it works sooo well. 😎

One band I think you should check out is the band "Adema", well at least their first 2 albums. They've gone through countless changes in singers and other members over the years, but the singer on their first 2 albums (2001 self titled and 2003 "Untable" (a guy named Mark Chavez) is actually Jonathan Davis' half-brother, If you like Korn and Linkin Park then pretty good chance you'll like Adema.

Thank you for continuing with the KoRn journey, it's been great revisiting the full albums with you! JD's album is very different musically, so don't go expecting a KoRn spin-off, but it's distinctly Jonathan. What I'd love to see is some reactions to KoRn's numerous "b-sides" and international extra track releases. There are loads of them. Here's a link to two 'albums' worth of tracks (i.e. 35-45mins of tracks per video), but they've done many more not on those videos. There's still more KoRn out there, I'm sure the fans can share some links below for more. Wow been a while since you uploaded. And what a comeback with Korns final album. Ive seen all your Korn album reactions and loved each one of them. Sad to see the journey end. At least till their new one drops which they've stayed they are working on new material. I suggest you dive into Marylin Manson next or continue Mudvayne that would be awesome

Yeah I've had quite a sudden shock happen in my personal life. Had to take some time to be with family and deal with a lot of emotional stuff. But it feels good to be back, music is very healing and having this channel is a great outlet. My journey through Korn's discography was such a cool experience, hearing how they evolved from album to album. Hopefully they'll drop a new record soon, that would be a nice surprise! And Marilyn Manson and more Mudvayne are great suggestions, I will keep both in mind :)

This album was too short for me. Although it's pretty creative sonically, the composition is a bit formulaic. Just a miss. Hoping for this next album to bring back more staggered tempo changes like in their earlier albums and retain the heavy elements like of Untouchables, topping it off with the quirky sounds of Follow the Leader.

i think do what you did with Korn....just go from first album. how much his albums have changed over the years is pretty impressive. his first album is a bit weird though. i don't even care for it. but he's one of my all time faves :) @@mollyesanborn

For me, this is the weakest Korn album. I don't like The Nothing either but that album at least had some emotional background. Requiem, on the other hand, is just a boring and sterile. Forgotten and Start the Healing are okay tracks, but only in comparison to the absolute blandness of the others.

intrigued on your Korn album ranking (if you decide to make one). another similar band suggestion- Staind. they have a solid discography, toured with Korn and Deftones in the past and even released a new album last year after a long hiatus.
