Tony's bracelets that summon his suit are also an example of a subtle character trait that Tony is constantly learning from failures and improving. Every movie he is in he has 1-2 brand new and improved suits that have some ability or upgrade that is a direct result of a previous failure. It may have looked a little odd that Captain America was the only character not eating shawarma in the scene, but the simple explanation is that Evans had a massive facial prosthetic in place in order to cover up the beard that he had grown for his role in Snowpiercer.

I actually didn’t know that, I assumed it was because he was too exhausted.
@glennwelsh97842 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the shawarma scene was a late addition to the movie. It was filmed and added to the movie right after the movie's New York premiere, before its release to general audiences. So several months had passed since principal photography had wrapped, and Evans had grown out his Snowpiercer beard in that time.
@Adrianne5192 жыл бұрын
Also the facial prosthetic actually looked really bad because they had to rush so fast, I’ve seen some stills of it and it really did, it looked like his face was swollen. So to take extra percussion they told him to just cover his face and it worked, you can’t even tell. By the way check out Snowpiercer it is really good!

Fun fact: Marvel confirmed later that Loki was also being influenced by the Mind Stone housed in his scepter. It's why he was so off the rails and looked like a madman the entire time with the dark hollows under his eyes and the pale skin and sweat. He was ill from the effects of the Mind Stone filling him with too much rage and bloodlust. That's why there were some moments he almost snapped out of it, like with Thor on top of Stark Tower. Also, you wondered what happened to Loki. As Tom Hiddleston (actor) and Joss Whedon (director) said, they came up with a backstory. When Loki fell off the Rainbow Bridge, he basically fell through the cracks in the universe. He bounced around to all the dark back alleys of the universe and learned a lot. It made him harder and tougher and more jaded.

I have to give props to Tom Hiddleston. He really brought the character of "Loki" to a real believable character, and then some. I think it takes a special actor to make a 'villian' worth something. Love seeing the love for Hawkeye. Love him but Cap is my favorite character by far. Really love to see him in the fight scenes because he is the one that works the best with everyone. They all work together but with Cap they work as one unit. Like in this movie, Thor and Hulk work together to take down a leviathan, but their mostly doing their own thing. Meanwhile Cap launches Nat, uses his shield to redirect Tony's repulser beams. It's a common thing throughout the movies.
@Adrianne5192 жыл бұрын
Yes! Him giving out his orders to everyone is one of his most underrated moments! He does it so fast and he quickly knew how to utilize everyone’s strengths! It really showed the soldier in him the most. Everyone immediately followed him, Tony knew he was their leader and he’s the one that tells him to “call it”, really shows his and their relationship growth. Even Hulk listens, he doesn’t do a thing until Cap said “smash”. It’s also the first time that someone encouraged him to smash! A great moment too from earlier was when he first met Bruce, he wasn’t scared, he didn’t judge him and to mean me treated him like a real person who didn’t care about Hulk, it’s actually funny to me that Bruce tells Cap his secret when Cap is one of the few that never asked. Just the many reasons why Cap is my favorite! Lol He really does work off the best with everyone, the only one he doesn’t really work off with his Hulk. In my opinion he works the best with Thor, they work off each other a lot and you can see the respect from them. But it makes sense that they would, they both have scene literal battle and has been part of an army, the others even though they’ve fought haven’t and aren’t use to working as a team.
@Shawn4815162342 Жыл бұрын
Throughout the movie, when people are talking to Hulk, they either call him 'Bruce' or 'Banner'. When Cap is doling out orders to everyone, he calls him 'Hulk', which is the first time someone has acknowledged him as a separate entity from Bruce, which Hulk immediately recognizes.

They’re called The Avengers, this was the movies subtle way of saying they needed something to avenge Also from what I’ve seen Thor not being able to pick up his hammer for a bit was the result of him thinking himself to be unworthy. The hammer obviously knew he was but his own self doubt clouded his mind so he couldn’t Force grab it like he usually does (this, along with many lines throughout this movie come back into play later 😉) “I’m always angry” and that Alex is the pay off to that scene at the end of The Hulk movie where Banner was meditating and suddenly opened his green eyes and smiled. He’s slowly learning to control it “Who is that?” That my dear boy is the one and only Mad Titan, Thanos. The line the Chittauri dude said beforehand was a cheeky reference since in the comics Thanos does attempt to date (court) Lady Death

Glad you liked it as much as you did. Great reaction. I've always said the Avengers movies (plus Captain America: Civil War, since it's basically the Avengers 2.5) are the best MCU movies because they bring together all the heroes, so they're better and more exciting than the stand alone hero movies. You got your first look at Thanos and got the fun shawarma scene. They filmed that as an after thought after the movie was done filming and had been for a long time. They had to wait for the actors to all come back to the New York prescreening from their respective other projects and ask if they would use some of their own free time after the screening that evening to re-costume up and go to a small restaurant to shoot that scene. It was a great addition.

I highly recommend checking out the TV show Agents of SHIELD, especially if you like Coulson. The first season doesn’t start out very well but it gets great by the last third of the first season and the rest of the show is amazing! It’s seriously some of the best television I have ever seen! Season 4 in particular is probably my favourite season of any show ever. And the vast majority of the show is incredible!

You MUST watch Agents of Shield now!! for awhile it follows closely alongside the movie's and its incredibly important to understand a LOT of the background/side stories. It's one of my favorite shows

I love AoS myself, but as it’s not currently canon, it’s a side quest at best. It actually confuses a few things that are very important later on and ties into the Inhumans too much for the current MCU. And that’s without even touching on the time travel elements. If Feige likes the character, they might be back doored in the way a certain someone was in a recent film, but it’s really on a case by case basis. It might be said that AoS Coulson is a variant of our Coulson. ‘Nuff said.
@darbytheturtle2 жыл бұрын
@@Saje3D way I see it, it's just a different universe in the grand calculus of the multiverse, one that as far as we knew happened the same as the MCU but then diverted at what I assume to be Coulson's "death" from there, similar things unfold but it changes along the way, hence why they introduced Inhumans but never referenced them or any of the greater AoS plot points in the films
@jspettifer2 жыл бұрын
@@Saje3D If it is a variant universe then it forks at the avengers. In my opinion It is essential viewing as it is so good but it is too long to interweave into the movies

I love this show and I’ll defend it to the end of the MCU as the best show (or one of the best) they made, and I think it’s canon because of a spoiler I cannot say. Let’s just say it exists in a different branch of reality that was created in one of the other shows…hopefully I was vague enough with that.

Alex, I love your enthusiasm!! I saw this movie at the theatres and there were several times the audience went bonkers, especially when the post credit scene appeared and showed the big guy. Folks were shocked to their core!!!! They were saying, How? Anyway, great job. I look forward to several more, man!

Pay attention to Loki's eyes: there are blue almost the entire movie instead of green in all his other MCU appearances. Pay attention to his movements and physique, the are different when he arrives than later, even after the Smash. Pay attention to his divergent character style during this compared to all different MCU appearances. He usually is thoughtful and acting more covertly. This plan to take over earth is completely thoughtless and random, unlike Loki, .... Unless Loki wanted to loose. It has been officially stated by the movie makers in interviews and clearly hinted at in the entirety of the MCU that Loki was not acting in his free will, but rather under duress (meaning torture) and mind-control throughout The Avengers. His suicide attempt at the end of Thor was a real suicide attempt, not faking death.
