Love your vids! It’s awesome that you just don’t care about getting down and dirty. You just walk into streams in your jeans and shoes! I don’t see other...um...googan dorks...fishing like that. They need the nice boat, the nice rod, the latest lures, etc. I do miss the intro tho where you jump into the lake with your tackle box. Can you bring it back once in awhile?

"A pliers," is a way I'm definitely not used to hearing it. I've always just heard, "pliers," or," a pair of pliers." It's funny how such little things can annoy lol And yes, it's probably regional, so it's not criticism. And speaking of regional, to be more accurate to how I am used to hearing it: "plars" and "apara plars."
@tybeers68463 жыл бұрын
You explained my exact thought process lol. It annoyed me too lol I call it a pair of pliers

Inline spinners are the quintessential fishing lure for me. That's what I latched on to as a kid, and at 40 I still throw them all the time. I've latched on to the ultralight scene lately. I have two setups, a KastKing Summer 500 on a Berkley Cherrywood with 2lb mono, and then a KastKing Royale Legend II 1000 on a Okuma Celilo with 6lb mono. Insanely fun. They're my go-to combos these days. Dirt cheap too.

Like your videos and your sense of humor. After a 45 years brwak, you remind of the fun of fishing. I couldn't find a red sqare bill crankbait. You inspired me to buy a red lure keychain at walmart,$1.52, and throw hooks on it. It even has a whispy tail. Thx and keep it up.

Gotta have a retired nurse mom like me. The last time I went to canada I ripped my thumb wide open and "stuff" was coming out. She sewed my thumb up from her first aid kit and I spent the week with my thumb wrapped in plastic from a bread bag. What I would add to your list is a Johnson Silver Minnow and a pack of three inch white grubs to add to it. I have caught so many pike on this. I also use a monster silver minnow and four inch grubs for musky.

All great essentials! Not much of a “video my day fishing” so I’ll take your word on the camera equipment. Keep fishing with this bobbers. I’ve watch many pros use them especially when the bite is slow. Setup your rig, cast it out and wait for them to decide. Or use it as you said, on suspended fish that haven’t been to terribly aggressive in the day. Love the videos! 👊🏼
@toddl36823 жыл бұрын
Would you consider doing a video on how you use those bates and rig them up. Just getting into fishing and now sure of a the rig setups and how to fish those bates. Thanks,

The steelhead spinners are so fire in the winter for bass. When nothing else is working I tie one the spinner and it triggers them to bite.

A long pliers is indeed the most important just like a steel cutter. I had ones slices up to the bone on my knuckels from a big pike (to small plier that day) and the steel cutter for a hook in your hand😅

This , and hand sanitizer, so when you handle worms, frogs, etc you don't wipe their grime in your eyes or nose or ears , they can have nasty microbes, amoebas and parasites. Let alone the pond scum.

You totally missed including a Ned Rig!!! A Zman OG 1/16 oz Jighead and a Zman TRD MinnowZ and you need nothing else in your tackle bag!!!! If you want just two baits then include your 4” Yum Dinger and fish it Wacky Style. Between those two baits you’ll catch fish anywhere and under any condition.

I always recommend hand sanitizer, I tend to touch my face, or when I'm smoking , or handling live bait. You don't want to rub potential parasites, amoebas, or nasty pond scum microbes in your eyes . Especially if you're trying out new areas, you don't know what could be in it sometimes .

If you like pike fishing i have a few recommendations, you should try daredevil spoons, bigger jerk baits and spinnerbaits (I, among others, really like firetiger spinnerbaits for northern pike) those are my personal favorite pike baits, and I have also been told that swim-jigs and topwater frogs/whopper ploppers work great as well.
