By the way, a "P-Touch VIN" is a VIN sticker produced by a Brother P-Touch device. This is a small handheld printer with a keyboard that produces sticker labels on rolls of proprietary tape. They use batteries and cost about $40, I have one and put labels on all sorts of stuff around the house. I really find them indispensable, but I've never heard of one being used to produce a VIN overlay....

Travis is awesome. Reminds of the time my truck got stolen from the apartment complex I was living in. Crappy winter day in Nov. We did have a drug dealer living on the first floor and I guess some of his customers decided they didn't want to walk home so they busted the door handle to get in and broke the bottom of the steering column open to remove the wheel lock. Filed a report but the cop was honest enough to say it was prolly gone. Exactly 1 month later the called that they had found it about 1 mile from my place. Only reason they found it was the city had it towed cuz the plow drivers asked for it to me removed so they could clear the street. Then insurance totalled it when all it needed was a new steering column and door handle. The adjuster gave me some BS about they would have to spend $3500 to have it inspected. They said cuz of the damage to the door and rocker panel the cost was more than it was worth. I told the adjuster that the door dents and rocker panel damage was there when I bought it but he just ignored me. Ins. paid me $6400 for a dented/rusted 1992 GMC Sierra SLE extended cab.

Proud GXP second owner here. Those of us that have kept tabs on the muscle car food chain have watched these vehicles evolve from Down Under starting with the two-door GTO which for a small family like mine was not an option might as well bought a Corvette. But if you had been following them you knew even when they launch the GTO that they had plans for a four-door muscle car so I waited along with people like minded. Then finally 2008 comes around and here they come G8 GT's but the price was ridiculous so a little bit more research and patience and hopes that the price will come down but the reality is because of the difference with Australian dollar they're never coming down. My local Pontiac dealer went belly-up sitting on five of them should have been four but they'd rather go bankrupt over $500 and hold onto all five, I was okay with that cuz I really didn't want the GT anyway I wanted the GXP, which at that time were sitting on a boat circling in the Pacific, when they did finally get unloaded most went to Chevy dealers and obviously those dealers Marked those damn things up as much as $25,000 so again I was out of luck cuz there's no way in hell I was going to pay 75 grand for one of those cars lo and behold two years later when people start getting rid of them a lot we're willing to take it in the shorts just because The Thrill was Gone. It was amazing to watch those things sell for their sticker price 4 years later. I was lucky in finding an owner that didn't believe that his car was still worth sticker, I was able to negotiate a price that was acceptable to the both of us. Committed to purchase sight unseen and drove 400 Mi to pick it up blindly. Like the original purchasers after driving it daily for close to a year The Thrill Is Gone but I still love my baby and take it out every now and then, I'll keep it until somebody else has thirty thousand reasons that they want it more than me or I can get into an equivalent replacement for 30,000 which you can't.

Ironically, I had a Jungle Green SS "stolen" from me prior to the end of the 2016 stop sale... I was going to buy it, but the dealer transfered it away to another dealer during that several month seatbelt stop sale :P Wound up with a white one instead...

If I knew they were gonna add the street view in, I wouldn’t have looked it up myself 😂
