My Frank Sinatra Album Collection!

Ring-A-Ding-Ding! The Johnny Mercer one looks interesting - what's on it? One for my Baby, Blues in The night, Jeepers creepers, Fools Rush In - Summer Wind, was Summer Wind a Johnny Mercer song? They must be there. Point of No Return is another interesting one - that's where he went back to work with his original arranger, Alex Stordahl. At The Sands is one of the flat out greatest live albums ever made re: Tommy Dorsey - I saw Frank in 1986 (his opening act was Whitney Houston!) and he sang "I'll Never Smile Again" and went off into a rant about Tommy Dorsey - ending it by banging his heel on the stage three times and shouting "Is it hot enough down there for you Tommy?"? I'd take No One Cares or Sings For Only The Lonely (it has his two greatest songs - One For My Baby and Angel Eyes) over In The Wee Small Hours, but you're right, most people plump for ITWSH. You could break this up into a series by album theme and really tell some great stories. Great video, especially the monologue at the end,

Great collection, Anthony. Swing Easy and Close To You are the pleasant surprises. Those are the top two I'm still actively looking for to add to my collection. That Dino and Sinatra Country Classics looks great. Never seen it. Perhaps I overlooked it, but is Watertown missing? It's a top 5 of mine. Better show your Elvis collection! Cheers, Jeff

I first listened to Frank Sinatra about 3 years ago, but nowadays I rarely or never listen to his music at all. Strange isn't it? And now I'm sitting on a heap of audiophile reissues of his albiums.

Frank Sinatra is the artist I have the most of in my collection at 22 albums. I absolutely love that album with Antonio Carlos Jobim. I have many of those you showed. I like all his stuff, but the stuff on Capitol is the best to me. Have a good Sunday Anthony.
