Polar skateboards are sick! I love their wider boards and they make them quite short, so you can still skate an 8.75 and have the nice crisp short flick
@topdeckdog3 жыл бұрын
I love their shapes but need to see some wheelbases closer to the 15" mark before i pounce :/

I've been skating a similarly shaped deck that I made. Only difference is that the nose is very short, almost as short as a cruiser but still kicked up. I like that nose to tail taper👍👍

Very nice set up, my skate shop doesn’t have a house deck like that otherwise I would probably try that. Thank you for taking us with you on this journey.

I did the same thing with the winkowski shaped deck. I loved it so much I bought another one right after. That was a couple years ago now you can hardly find those

Hi Zack. Thnx heaps! For AF1 trucks for this deck would you go with the 55 or the 60? Hard to decide die to the taper.

I love your style dudemeister. Both on the board and on the bod. Crisp. Absolutely do a Lurpiv review when you get them. Living in Sweden I’ve definitely been considering getting them. I’ve got a Flip Mountain Crest 8.75” that feels like it might be roughly the same shape as that board. Only skated straight up popsicle shapes so I’m wondering how it’ll feel.

I can't wait to try them out!

@@ZackDowdy give them the full nine yards! And if you wouldn’t mind measure how they affect the wheel base in comparison to for example Indies.

would you recommend a size 139 size trucks to go with that shape? or would you say that is too small

Yeah too small imo

Hey Zack! Love your videos. Wondering if you could do a video on pool coping grind technique. I find that I get hung up very easily on pool coping even if there's a relatively fresh layer of clear coat on it. Thanks!

Nice trick with the gorilla glue on the rails. What version of gorilla glue was it? I was under the impression that all of their glue kinda bubbled up when drying.

Gorilla glue sucks. Liquid Nails works great.

I picked up some Bronsons for my small wheels and right out of the gate they’re pretty slow. I’m not sure what I got exactly but I was hoping they were better. My son has different Bronsons that are the fastest I’ve ever tried. It’s also weird that small wheels would work better for slappies. Always thought bigger wheels would ride over the bumps a lot more confidently. But I’ll keep trying it with my 52s and see if it’s better than my cloud 56s.
@ZackDowdy3 жыл бұрын
I always thoughts bigger wheels would help with slappys too! Now that I can do them a little better I've found the truck goes directly into the curb faster with the small wheels. I totally agree about Bronsons too, bit slow.
@robertborden26663 жыл бұрын
@@ZackDowdy I must find out what kind of Bronsons are in my son’s board (or hijack them 🤫). I see the guys at my street spot getting slappies all night long and they all have the small wheel setup and bash it up and then do some crazy variations the rest of the way. One guy just leans and lets chaos take over!

$45 you say? They're at least €60 - €75 where i live 🤯 Luckily i know someone with a deck company who sells blank decks for €110 for 5 decks (7.625 - 8.5) or screened decks for a bit more

Idk: smashing your skate is weak minded. You’re not dominating anything taking that route.
@ZackDowdy3 жыл бұрын
It's not cool I agree, I would argue however it did dominate one thing - a sense of satisfaction from the release of energy that wasn't coming out in tricks. But I'm with you, typically I'll never assault my skateboard.
