Far less territory, far less people, far more technologically advanced weapons, automation, and social programs. Some economists think automation will lead to the the government putting everyone on a minimum salary regardless of work due to the fact automation is looking to put about 80 million people out of work by 2060, and I'm hear to tell you, we won't have NC level of technology till long after that. The story was phenomenal overall but the side characters all got fucked over so badly. They all seemed to have the same miraculous luck he did until the story didn't need them anymore
@encycl0pediaman4 жыл бұрын
It seems that way, I feel its likely the writer wrote them out as they weren't needed but it's not necessarily true they all died, from what I could tell the side characters that could have survived are the guy who lost an eye, that one guy who kept smoking, "dart" was it? And possibly rust (sorry I couldn't remember the names) I was hoping that "clint" I think his name was may have survived or that girl that was apart of the original team but I think it's safe to say they didnt make it. Its unfortunate but how I see it is the protagonist got separated from the few that could have survived that purple sphere teleportation bomb. Sure it's somewhat a trope to write out characters that are no longer needed but at least the writer didnt fully insinuate everyone he knew along the journey from start to finish had died in one way or another. Other then the lack of explination for the missing ones though and maybe an easy escape back to the real world to wrap things up. I think it's one of the best things I've been able to listen to. The few flaws the story has even have their own pluses, sur ethe ending could have been different but I still enjoyed it. Long story short, overall a great story and I wish I could listen to it again for the first time.
