So, if the original buyer wanted a car that usually looks black then why not spec black, if he wanted a blue car why not spec a lighter blue that actually looks blue all the time. Don't get me wrong, i don't hate it or i wouldn't have bought it but just think monaco blue is a few shades too dark.

Speaking from experience, Its similar to a murci. I think going equal length headers will get it nearly there. Effspot's Mercedes with the 12k exhaust should inspire your friend to go the equal length headers route.
