So I’m just gonna outline my 2 goat role strats. So 1: as detective it is legitimately more likely you die to a veteran while trying to investigate then your investigation actually revealing an imposter. Further more, if you die to a veteran it typically leads to another crew death by either imposters guessing veteran or getting voted off. So it just muddies the waters right? So as detective it’s literally more useful to just not do your job. 2- As vigilante there is no reason to guess jester, as when you call it out, you just all agree to not vote on it. This gives the imposters an extra kill they have to make, and sense jester is neutral it has no reason to vote with imposters or crew after it’s been called out. So the roles just kinda solved.

impostors trying to guess someone during meeting when they get found out is actually so detrimental to their fellow impostor cuz now everyone gets to try again with voting. it would almost be better to just let yourself be voted out at that point (if you don't have a guaranteed guess that is) so you buy your partner another round and spare them from getting randomly second voted during the same meeting.

@@guyofever I get that, but there are other roles that exist like Mystic and Spy and Investigatior. Those are 3 roles to permanently replace one role. I don’t even think detective is that bad of a role. Jacob just isn’t using it right.

@redballoon9007 true, but i guess how things are now both mystic and investigator are more useful than detective, simply because no one in that lobby knows how to use it properly 😭😭 so even though detective isnt a Terrible role, no one knows how to make use of it, so it ends up being "the worst one" (so much so that whoever gets it, immediately reveals their role and asks to be voted out), the same way you could say that warlock and other op/fun roles are "the best ones", its weird balancing but it works, although they could add spy alongside detective too and have the 4 roles mentioned have the same (low) percentage of being assigned
