I’ve seen a suit before when checking a bag… let me tell you better the spray than a suit severely needing a spray. I think they knew because they said it needed to be washed, and I just chuckled and said “It’s fine, wait till marines come through with their boots, they’re rough.” I then asked if they were going to a con, they said yes and I replied with “maybe ill go one day when I have the money, but in the meantime enjoy your time there fluff” and go to the next bag.

I had that coming back from fwa. My fursuit head i guess looked odd on the scan. It got pulled aside and a more experieced agent glaced at the screen smiled and handed me my bag without even opening it and said he hoped I had fun at the convention.

Personally, I would've changed the fursuit spray to a clear spray bottle, the traveling size ones, and just wrote it as disinfectant spray or something to avoid moments like that. I know it can be embarrassing, but I know that Walmart, HEB, Walgreens, CVS, and Dollar Tree and Dollar General, as far as I know, does sell clear traveling spray bottles. I never had run into this situation before personally. But I know that a lot of people can get really embarrassed by this. Especially with the fear of being called out by random strangers in general. I hope this solution helps for someone though.
