I think the most important step is lowering omega 6 intake. While an omega 3 supplement might be somewhat beneficial if you have high omega 6 levels, my concern is that you can not be sure that the supplement you are taking has not been sitting on the shelf too long and is oxidized. Omega 3 supplements are still very fragile polyunsaturated oils, and because fish are cold water creatures, and we are warm blooded creatures, even if we are ingesting a non oxidized product (which is very rare) the likely hood that it will oxidize as soon as it hits our high temperature gastric system is very high. It is much easier to tell if the O3 oils are oxidized to begin with is to eat fish, or chew up your O3 capsules (which most people will not do) but there is still the issue of oxidation once it enters our bodies.

Would fermented cod liver oil and butter be more stable? (Green pasture brand)?

@@thinkchair96 Butter would be, most stable, but I would be wary of cod liver oil, again fragile double carbon bond PUFA, could be oxidized

Also Butter would be high in C15 which has been shown in some studies to be possibly more beneficial than Omega 3, though the jury is still out on that.
