Some of the top designers in the world are amazing!!!! They seem to be graphic designers who understand fonts / colours / spacing etc. I really want to get on those levels where you can make jaw dropping apps.

Me neither! I'll definitely make sure to share if we can make something like that happen.

Good luck on your masters, it is not an easy task, especially while working full time!

Hi Morgan! You mentioned the NNGroup course and I was wondering if you've done it already. I was thinking about taking (possibly the same) one as well and would love to know if it's worth the money, especially because I have no stipend from my company.

I did it in January! It was a really great course and I learned a lot. It's a lot of money to spend - so if you're paying out of pocket and it's a financial hit for you - I wouldn't do it. On a more personal note - I'd maybe look elsewhere for employment. You'd be taking the course to build expertise that benefits the company. If they're not willing to help, that's an issue.

@@MorganUX Thanks for the quick reply! We do have some other ways where we are supported to grow, unfortunately a stipend is not part of it (as of yet, at least.) I'm setting up a personal budget for courses every year so it's not necessarily a financial hit. I've been looking into courses that are hopefully more advanced than just a foundational level. How actionable do you feel the knowledge you've gained is? Was the method more of a webinar (and info you can find in books/articles) or rather like a workshop?
