Hi my name is Emma, and I had Graves disease also the doctors were telling me the same thing and I was on the same medicine, I went from 30 mg to 15 mg to I take one and a half a day, and he told me that I would probably be reversed of the graves disease... How I found out was I had cervical cancer I have been healed and delivered from the cervical cancer and I'm praying and trusting God to be healed and delivered from the graves disease also but he said that it looked so good. something I believe my thyroid disease numbers were so bad was because at first I was drinking alcohol irresponsibly I stopped drinking alcohol I haven't drank alcohol and almost 2 years I just want to say God is so good I give God all the glory this is a praise report for me and this is a praise report for you ,keep doing what God's will. Eating healthy from your garden and doing good herbs from your garden and drinking plenty of water that is key spring water is key I just want to say just keep going I'm trusting God with you and whether you know it or not that it's still a good praise report I am watching your video now and I'm so happy that you're finding good choices for yourself and God bless you.

I was diagnosed with Graves 1.5 years after I had my 2nd baby; I knew something was off soon after I had him. -my ob/gyn said “you just had a baby” give yourself time.6 mos later he said “pms” take caffeine, Chocolate etc out of your diet; still no change so I went to a female gyn thinking she’d be more sympathetic -she said it wasn’t pms but probably stress/anxiety and suggested I see a therapist associated in the same medical group 🤦‍♀️ finally found an endocrinologist and after blood test which came back with high levels he did a radioactive iodine uptake test which confirmed Graves. He recommended Radioactive iodine treatment; he did not recommend surgery-he felt I was as too young (?)nor the medication because of certain side affects; so I went with the Radioiodine therapy and have been on Levoxyl(Levothyroxine) pretty much the same dose for over 30 years now. Only side effect is maybe hair loss/thinning but that could also be attributed to menopause😂

Please don’t fear surgery. You could have a regulated thyroid level after surgery with medication. Sometimes a dysfunctional area of our body needs to go. What would happen if we didn’t remove a bad appendix? I believe in homeopathy but it’s not the answer for everything. All this said as support, not asjudgement. I know you will do what feels right to you and regardless, I support and pray for you! You are a dear, dear woman who deserves to feel great! Sending love!❤

Tracy, I had thyroid cancer many years ago and had my thyroid surgically removed. My entire family has a problem with hypothyroidism. I had two treatments of radioactive iodine a year apart. Thankfully, I’ve had no further issues with that cancer. I am a small person, in stature and weight, and I unfortunately fall between 2 doses of synthroid medication. Over the years, my doctor whom I love, has tried different things. I’ve done weeks with 7 days of a lesser dosage, 5 on 2 off, 6 on 1 off. There is no ideal dosage for me. Finally, I’ve learned that when I lay down at night and my heart flutters all over my chest, that I need to skip a pill the next day. I say all that to say that having the thyroid removed does not make all of the issues you are experiencing, go away. Just talk to your doctor about that. Many people do not realize what it’s like to have thyroid issues. So many body functions are controlled by the thyroid. I’ve learned or am learning to live with levels that are always off. My thyroid ablation experience. Tracie, I developed a storming thyroid in 2000. I was placed on Methimazole and I reacted badly to it. I was rushed to the hospital and given other meds to stop the reaction. My throat was closing and hives were all over my body. So, afterwards I was left with two options, surgery or radiation. I chose radiation and I have regretted it ever since. My brother also had hyperthyroidism and he elected to have half of his thyroid removed. He has fared much better than me. So, I apologize for my unsolicited advice but I'd have the surgery to do a partial thyroidectomy before ever completely removing it by radiation or surgery. I don’t think that having only half of her thyroid gland removed would make anything better for hypothyroidism. I had the entire gland removed in my 30’s and take daily meds to keep me healthy.

I just found your channel, and I'm praying for you. I've been there with Lupus. I was so, so sick for 2 years. Through prayer and my medicinal herb garden and google as my research team. God led me down a path of healing without any medications, just herbs, supplements, and a lot of bone broth. I did change my diet, and I have been dairy free, gluten-free, soy free, and antibiotic free, and I have eaten cleaned whole organic foods since 2015. I eat chicken and turkey regularly and wild salmon on occasion. Changing my diet was the key to healing my body. I praise God for healing me and giving me a strong and healthy body so I can enjoy my garden every day. I pray the Lord will give you strength, wisdom, and grace to follow your heart in your own healing journey. I believe God has created our bodies to heal themselves. My healing journey took 2 years, but I chose a holistic path and not one of pharmaceutical drugs. I had one doctor tell me I would have to go on autoimmune medication the rest of my life. I said No Thanks, I barely walked out of the office, and thats when Google became my research library and path to healing without having to step foot into another doctors office again. I no longer have lupus, either. I pray that you have a blessed 2024 with renewed strength and health in Jesus' mighty name. I pray Amen and Amen.

Tracey, I'm so sorry you have been so sick..my daughter, started at 13 days old, with chronic throwing up..to the point she was hospitalized at least once a week..that went on for years, at the age of 15, she had had several surgeries, including removal of a rotten gallbladder, and still after seeing multiple doctors n test, n blood work, a doctor finally was able to diagnose her with celiac sprue disease, chronos disease..never thought she would make it to graduate from high school, she had to be homeschooled due to her severe sickness..but she did grad6, and married n and has 2 teenage young men..I said that to say this...dont ever give up hope for God to heal you..shes now 37, and yes she still battles issues..shes had to alter alot, but praise God. She is doing good..I'm a firm believer in Jesus, and healing..we will keep praying for you n family..I had to play this over n over in my mind, when our daughter was so near death; when ur backs to the wall, remember his was to the cross, and he took those aweful stripes for our healing..I too have an autoimmune disorder, but doing ok with..I'm now 60, and praise the Lord for making this far..my heart just breaks for you n your husband, my husband is on his 2nd pacemaker n isn't doing good, but trusting God for his healing as well..stay strong in your faith, God is able to heal you..n it can happen any second now..praying for all, happy new year to yall, and good health.

My thyroid story is identical but no vomitting. Once symptoms slowed down I took a low dose of methimazole for almost eight years until the Graves went into remission. I didn’t want thyroid radiation or removal. At 64 I developed hashimotos (low thyroid) but it is much easier to medicate and nothing like the hyper symptoms. Im surprised your naturopath didn’t diagnose your Graves. I’ve been under the care of a naturopath for the last three years because my family Dr. would only test T3,4 and that doesn’t tell the whole story. Each persons story, symptoms, what did or didn’t work will be different. I pray God will give you peace with whatever route you choose.

I'm sorry you have been going through so much this year. Two decades ago, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease. The only symptoms I had at that time were tachycardia & I lost 30 lbs in a month, while eating a lot because I was always hungry. I had the radioactive iodine ablation & in less than a month, life returned to normal.

Tracie, I know it’s a relief to have a diagnosis and be on the road to a healthy recovery. Do whatever you have to do to get your thyroid regulated. I have had type one diabetes and hypothyroidism for many years. Keeping your immune system regulated is key to a healthy lifestyle as you and I like to live. Hey Tracy, I am new to your channels from the cog hill channel. I am so sorry that you are dealing with this condition. This is a disease that is tied to the hormone levels. The condition of the thyroid, the hormone levels, and your immune system at any given moment. The medication Methimazole, has been the primary choice for oral therapy in treating hyperthyroidism. It works by inhibiting thyroid hormone production in the thyroid gland. Your doctor can Assess how well the methimazole treatment is working by regularly monitoring thyroid function tests, the doctor's findings during visits, and any adverse effects you report during the visits. There may be some time to adjust your medication up and down involved until you find a good level. Now diabetes, parkinson's disease and the blood thinner usage are all monitored and adjusted according to the lab level reports. This is when medications are raised and lowered to stay within a good range FOR YOU. Whenever you have major stress levels, a sickness or illness or a drop in your immune responses all these conditions can affect your balance and your blood levels. Knowing this allows you to keep you health up by following a good diet plan as best you can because no one is perfect on diet plans ever. Being in the garden getting sunshine with vitamin D and fresh air and some peace and tranquility will all helps so much. Take time set aside for you and your body to find some fulfillment activities to increase your well being. This is a marathon and not a sprint race. So the long term effect of doing the most good most often is going to go a long way. I will pray for you and your medical providers that they can find the best treatments for you and that the treatment works for you.

From what I have been reading, it seems that some parasite can prevent the symptoms of graves disease from manifesting. Then once you get rid of the parasite, the symptoms of graves disease are no longer masked and it kind of just hits you like a ton of bricks. I can understand how you and Brooke both feel. I am 73 and have terrible back pain that keeps me from standing more than 10 minutes. I can't walk unless I have something to lean on. It is hard not to be able to garden and work in the yard, or even clean house like I used to. I will add you to my prayers. I just found your channel though Brooke recommended it some time ago. Im so happy that you are doing better. Thyroid issues are extremely difficult to deal with. I had my Thyroid removed nearly 20 years ago due to cancer. The worst issue in the beginning after the Thyroid removal was trying to regulate my calcium levels. That was seriously scary in the beginning. It has been a roller coaster, but I'm alive. I pray that God will give you the answers to your prayers on how to handle what to do about surgery.

Hi Tracy, just found your beautiful farm channel today! Then i saw you have just been disgnosed with Graves! I was shocked to be diagnosed 20 years ago and prayed and prayed about which of three choices the Endocrinologist gave me: surgery, radioactive iodine or methimazole (he really wanted me to do one of the first 2 and was most nervous about me taking the medication as there can be severe inability to fight normal infections as a side effect and he had recently come close to losing 2 patients) and was annointed with oil and prayed for being healed. In the end I chose the methimazole and agreed that any time I got a sore throat or fever i would drive the half hr day or night to get my blood checked to see if my white blood cells were normal. Fast forward 18 years, several moves and several different endocrinologists and varying levels of the methimazole dose and my endo dr said "you may go off of the methimazole! You're in remission!" Woohoo! I was so happy and said, "so I'm finally healed?" She said no, once you have Graves you always have it, but when it's in remission you don't need the medication. Please keep checking your blood thyroid levels every few months. And I'm sad to say, now, about 8 months later, I am back on methimazole- but only half a pill twice a WEEK (pill is 5mg). All that to say....God is with us. He will never leave or forsake us. He guides us when we seek His direction. We are sooo blessed to live in a country where we in general have access to amazing medical care and where drs are learning all the time. When I was first diagnosed drs thought that eye involvement was just one of the symptoms of Graves. In the last few years they have discovered that Thyroid Eye Disease is actually a separate disease that often co occurs with Graves but can also occur on its own or with other diseases. Many drs don't even know this yet. A specialist opthamologist doing a specific ct scan can confirm or rule out TED (which requires a completely different treatment plan if you have it). Also, as i think someone in comments already said, if you have one auto immune disease you are likely to get a second. God made our bodies amazingly good at helping themselves get better, but our bodies are still flesh, still decaying, and when they get mixed up they use that same amazing ability to heal to attack themselves! And drs do not know WHY our bodies do this and they have come up with things that help us have a better quality of life but don't actually cure the disease. Im sorry you are on this journey with me but know you aren't alone. Sending love and support to you in Alabama, a state i have never been in!

I hope with medication,they can control this without surgery. My daughter had to have part of her thyroid removed,that causes another set of issues itself. Seems like it is a very tricky balancing act,and having a Dr.willing to work closely with you is key.Hard to get that all the time. God Bless Donna

In 1992 I was diagnosed Graves Disease. It has been a battle. I had mine radiated, now I have autoimmune disease. I take Synthroid and it’s up and down. I’m losing my hair. The upside is I do have some good days. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Oh Tracy I definitely will be Praying for you. Just know that it is in God's hands. I know how you feel as about 25 or 30 years ago I had aproblem with my Thyroid and I had half of it removed. I am on Thyroid medicine for the rest of my life. That is okay with me as I feel a hundred percent better. Take care This is the verse that I took with me Isiah 41:10 and that is still my verse. I’m so happy you found the Endocrinologist. I had the same issue of finding the right mg of Methimazole. There was a point where we did 3 days of 15mg and 4 10mg day because i still had tremors and rapid heart rate and now we are down to 10mg a day. My numbers are at a good level. Maybe that’s something your Dr could consider? But I’m so happy to see you looking so good. I thank God I found your channel. Your gardening and spiritual love is inspiring to me.
