THANK YOU for calling out the perv who must not be named. I was so angry at that part that I have yet to continue on with the series... which made me so sad because I loved so much about it. But I was also so angry and disgusted. I would still like to continue, but I’m wondering how much of that character I’ll have to endure 😂

The author said he put him into the manga because he likes writing hateful characters, but what he doesn't realize is that that character lowers the quality of the manga.

Melissa Lisseth agreed. Also I remember when I was reading this volume, he talked about the making of that character a bit and said he related to him because he’s “also a bit of a perv” and I was very turned off to support his writing after that. But I’ve also heard that the word and concept of “perv” is much different in Japan, so I’m not quite sure how to feel. It was upsetting to read though.

@@hellohaley45 I think what the author did wrong is not the pervertedness, but the objectifying of high school girls. People can be perverts, but objectifying women in media has gone on too long and by writing in this character it tells other creators that it's perfectly fine to show someone this bad without consequences.

Melissa Lisseth I definitely agree with you on that! I don’t think it was so much the inclusion of a pervy character that bothered me, but it seemed as if the author was saying that his actions were okay. I think that goes along with what you’re saying about the lack of consequences. It is sad that these types of characters are still included for comic relief. I’m not sure why people still think it’s funny.
