Seems like it's just stage 2 map and gutted DPF, might have an intercooler. They usually dyno in the 370-380bhp range with the above mods. Take this to the next level, I am currently at stage 2 on my 335d so very interested on the route you take!

I just upgraded to the jr stage 3.1 these diesels hold so much potential. Ive heard of people making 1000 hp with 100 over injectors and dual r90 fuel pumps with hybrid turbos

Love the new daily! I'm making a monster 330d at the moment too so this is so fun to watch! Conversion to 35d on mine is on it's way - got the injectors, maf, airbox, r90 pump, fuel rail sensors and I'm eyeing a deal on a 35d turbosystems stage 2 turbos so the target of 500hp is looking more and more realistic. You're going to probably need profiled camshafts and some harder valve springs (look for the 70% harder as the market is swamped with the 30% ones which aren't really that much better than stock). Keeping a close eye on this build! GL OG!

I think this was a smart buy for the channel. Although we all love them big savage petrols, the reality is most of us watching this channel probably own a diesel !! @devine no smoke. Got a nice clean map. My garage passes my car with the delete. Just either make sure its a friend or throw them a bit extra to look the other way. Alot getter than a gutted DPF

i think as mentioned in other comments it's probably a stage 2 package, dpf delete maybe egr delete as well, maybe a cooler even too. my stage 2 330d is 305hp and its wicked fun however its also high mileage at nearly 180k however i would suggest checking all front and rear suspension arms because mine were absolutely shot to bits and ruined the handling of the car but with lots of time and effort it feels like new now!

Awesome car I have one myself a 2006 model sapphire black with 130k miles on it pulling 380bhp that's with the original turbos but hybrid would push it to 420bhp with the right mods and tune.

These cars are rapid tuned. I remember having a 600 hp Evo 6 ,stroker kit and raced one of these. It gave me serious problems. The guy said it was 450 hp and nearly 600 torques.

I had a 400 hp evo 8 fq300 (had some minor work obviously) and I had the same problem with the 335d even stock…I now own a 120,000 mile 2002 bmw 330d msport touring….and I way prefer it to the old evo

I have a 2016 335d had a stage 1 remap but put a larger intercooler on to keep the temps safe ooh and gearbox remapped as it made 754Nm torque and 419bhp. Its just a smile maker everytime you drive it

@@georgep4467 I’ve got Glens old Frankenstein turbo off his drag car it’s the original bmw housing machined with a Mercedes 350 cdi core so it’s now ceramic ball bearing water cooled gtb2271vklr spools up faster than a normal hybrid! I last dynoed at 401 bro and 822nm that was on the r70 fuel pump I now have a brand new r90 and the m50d rail pressure sensor he’s turned the fuel up to 2000bar 😅 and road mapped it feels alot better now unknown power as we speak though.

I do keep anti friction micro oil in mine I've done the swirl flaps oil filter housing gasket and a braided oil feed pipe those bits are a must common problem for them to fail and the vacuum line's

I got absolutely done in buy a newer 435d in a mapped golf r with 355 bhp was on gearbox lim at 163 and the beemer pulled away there a fair old tool are them big derv beemers no doubt about it you need to send it to the moon love a diesel can’t believe there a open diff no fun in that

Diesel power is a lot of fun. Petrol cars obviously have their place, but for UK roads you never seem to be out of 3rd gear. Diesels you can short shift the life out of and stay in boost the whole time, lots of fun on a windy B road! Cat-less pipes, EGR & DPF delete and a tune and your laughing.

Love the car! I have an E90 335d with 340bhp and 700nm. Just fitted large intercooler and rear silencer delete. Going into Ecotune in Scotland next month for Devil Developments DPF delete and custom map. Also just had gearbox map on it last week. Gearbox map changes the car completely. Looking to see 380 bhp next month... hopefully!

What does the gearbox map do?

@@mishimamaster1845 it changes gears much quicker, can set the RPM limit (to keep gears in the optimum power band), adjust the severity of the gear changes, rev matches on downshifts etc. You have an app that allows you to change all these settings and have a tune for D mode, Sport mode and Manual mode. It's not DSG gearbox quick shifts, but makes the car drive so much better and much more responsive when accelerating

Thats a quite nice result. You'd expect 440bhp or so from a decent hybrid LP but without him logging it who knows, maybe not running that 45psi or so and a but more conservative boost wise. The smoke says its a possibility....get that N95 mask on asap 🤣

Definitely only stock turbos, a stage 2 with dpf delete, perhaps a decat, will make 370-380hp anyway, will safely push 450hp on hybrid cores and slightly quicker spool, lots of potential with this engine💪💪
