My Highest Altitude Hike Ever!! (this was HARD) | 2022 Summer Road Trip - Ep. 2

I tried hiking to the highest altitude I have EVER BEEN!! At almost a mile of elevation higher than any altitude I have ever been to before, attempting to reach the summit of Mt. Bierstadt was one of the hardest day hikes I have EVER done! Mt. Bierstadt is one of 58 mountains in Colorado that reaches an elevation over 14,000 feet - dubbed colloquially a "14er". At this altitude there is about 40-percent less oxygen than you would be getting at sea level. This makes hiking at high elevation hard, y'all!! As a sea level born and raised person, attempting to hike at this altitude was a big deal for me. I was nervous that hiking to an altitude of 14,000 feet (~4,267 meters) would trigger a migraine. If you deal with chronic migraines like me, you'll understand the fear. This hike was as beautiful as it was brutal. Watch the video to see if I reach the summit of my first 14er!

Amazing. But Please stay vigilant out there on hikes , never alone and with groups. Stay armed. DON'T go affer sundown. Wild things do happend at the wilderness.
