I looked at used first, but with interest rates higher, it didn't make sense. Almost 2 months ago, I bought a Y LR AWD Ultra Red 7-seater with a white interior for around $35K after tax incentives, inventory discounts, and referral discounts. A few days ago, we leased my wife a Stealth Grey Y LR RWD 5-seater with a white interior. So with both transactions, we save nearly $33K! So with that said, I think buying new is the better way to go. But maybe not for long if the incentives go away as rumored. Which would be beneficial to newer owners that recently took advantage of the incentives, as we will have some built-in equity.

I’m in Colorado. We had an $5,600 state incentive for new EV on top of the federal incentive of $7,500. On January 1, it goes down to $3,500.

Thanks for your honest review. Even I don't own one, and maybe never will be own one, because of the interior and the camera operated system instead of sensors. Imagine, we all use the same shared data, but it is as it is, there are others as well and the Rivian 2 doesn't sound bad...

Used is definitely the way to go. The depreciation on those cars is pretty bad. I've seen Model 3s go for as low as 15k at only a few years old.

After using Teslas UI. I find Apple CarPlay and android Auto look very outdated and cheap. Teslas own UI is amazing and you can do anything you want on it that you would need. So I don’t see the obsession with Apple CarPlay.
