​@@wolfsterjones891 Previously you can clear Oreha/Argos in matchmakeing but legion raid is designed to clear with perfect coordination among 4/8 players and the raid difficulty is not that easy, that's why matchmaking is pretty much death starting with Valtan and people resort to party finder (hence the gatekeeping) to have a smooth run. It is not about the number of players but it is more of a game design with hard raid that requires people to know mech and have good uptime for a clear.

Korea’s 3 raids behind for solo raids don’t solve a lot imo (and by that metric Theamine solo should release in July as well since Korea has three newer raids). What would really move the needle is far more accessible/forgiving normal raids while giving the same vertical progression items (at half or 1/3rd the rate) so normal raiders can move into hard at any future raid.

wolf is right. Coming from Korea, the gaming culture is way more different from here. People there are so much more obsessed with gaming (to a point, the govt would address gaming addiction) than here. Here, in American, we are more used to individualism. People would rather play alone than with other people. This is where SmileGate miscalculated when it rolled out Lost Ark here at first. They overlooked this cultural difference and the majority of the players ("casuals" who prefer to play alone and whenever they want) left the game.

The only other change that should come with solo raids is more cards for LOS and LWC. Getting gatekept because of lack of cards after 2+ years is plain stupid. Koreans should take note of this.

They should add more rewards when we level up/every time we level up our roster, we get 1 legendary card at least, And of course I think they should remove the XP card system, as we know silver is the most expensive currency in this game if we are new players, and aim to pursue end game content

As much as i like playing mmo, that doesn't mean i always like to play with others, the challenges of soloing a raid is what makes it rewarding for me, i actually like to spend time in a game that doesn't have much playtime in endgame, because you're locked out for a week after raiding and there is nothing else to do but waste money afterwards

The thing is they should do something about buses, feel like the transition between solo raids and party raids would still be the same. People with low gear wanting to join high gear and ppl with high gear wants to be with players with even higher gear, cuz of this fomo nonsense. Buses are making the wall of gatekeeping higher, cuz u cant thrust either tittles , achivements and so on. Also buses makes the new players to the content rarer to spot, cuz they rather buy a bus than to make a prog lobby 2 months into the raid, which shouldnt be rare, but it is cuz ppl rather buy a bus than to join a learning lobby to then join a reclear to impostor in. Removing bussin would make lobbies gatekeep lower and make the prog lobbies more common. Cuz rn there are none for older content.

Look back on how the game starts until lv 50 everything you do is solo play. You go from this wow I love this game taking my time doing my thing to wait I can't even enter if there aren't at least 3 or 7 other people that want to do the exact same thing? In my opinion that doesn't even make sense. Card runs to get sets that will allow you to get into higher difficulty raids are practically a thing of the past so solo abyssal dungeons and raids will absolutely save the game. Making the OPTION for more people to join is great but the MANDATE is not good

i stop playing lost ark because of the Raids sigh, my patience with shit players had run dry. everytime we had to restart in Vykas or some old raid i got pissed because people just fck suck, i rather just solo a Raid myself and if i fail get angry at myself for not being able to do it.

For the doomer enjoyers; just because solo raids is 3 raids behind does not mean it will stay like that forever. Depending on how well it’s recieved by players and how the player numbers increase or decrease, we might see changes. It’s not impossible for devs to change something, crazy, I know. Exactly! People are forgetting we haven't even seen what these raids will be like.. I gurantee you that if it succeeds we will get it for newer content. Players need to have more hope then dooming on content we haven't received.

Man... I mean sure, if they have a roll-over of most of their staff and I can see a new direction of the game then maybe... But the current people working their are just so clueless and sometimes I even think they want to smaller the playerbase for some reason. If solo raids are well received, they find a way to mess it up (sound like doomer but this just comes from experience of the last months and the direction the game is heading).

That's what happened with Legion raids. They were an experiment that was successful so they stuck with it as their formula going forward.

@@veckgames I think the problem with legion raids is just simply all the wipe mechanics. Keep it in hm and inferno, remove it from nm and exchange it for either big damage to players, or boss recovering some health. Make the rewards the same, but less than hm. This would universally fix lost ark, literally. And solo mode for all raids, but 50% gold. Or same gold, but bound.

I was a support main with 4 supports in the gold 6. Do solo raids even apply to me? And no I don't consider being a support a reason to not do solo raids. I quit a month or so after akkan launched because I didn't do the raid immediately. No learning groups, sitting there waiting for other supports for literal hours.

Nope, Supports do get a selectable special "damage" buff for Solo raids so they can clear it like any other DPS. They showed this at the last LoA.

@@otaconzz Not sure if you were still around at that time but they sped up chaos dungeons last year, they "only" take about 2,5 minutes now and monsters cant knock you anymore.

Solo raids is mostly for alts tbh. The new players will still get gatekept once they reach the party finder boss.

yeah but the speed in which they release new solo raid is important, you telling me that the new player experience is waiting korea to get the content first, then double wait again to experienced it as solo? like i said other time in my opinion if they keep stacking all those system like full trascedence and advance honing, on top of cards and gems, and the raid like in the case of thaemione are rly hard to unlock it. those new player will never transition to the multiplayer last content part of the game, so basicaly this game is just baiting them hoping to get a quick cash on those poor people before they reach echidna where they will be gatekeept because they don't have full trans or waiting 2 hour to find two support. i don't think anybody sane will stick with that miserable life xD. most of the old people like me keep playing and foward the difficulty because of "the cost sunk fallacy" but a new player don't have that "mental brain" problem yet, a new player is still in time to quit the game before is 2 late.

It's baiting for sure but they are also hoping that they can catch people in solo content with addictive behaviors, catch them and have them swipe, as you said. So much of that game is designed around psychological manipulation, it's insane.

It solves a lot tbh - new players can finally raid and learn some mechs. It is good though that they earn less gold from it, there needs to be an advantage or rather motivation to do the raids normally or nobody will do raids with other people together anymore

Saying that older content is dead is a lie. I always see parties for valtan, vykas, and clown but almost all parties are 1500+ and 150+ roster.

@@raynekayde6405 There's also no need for everyone to be at the highest content currently. I think you're forgetting that we haven't even played solo raids... You can't just assume it's going to be terrible. You're also forgetting that there's so much content for new and returning players to enjoy and by that time more solo raids (as sg has said, if solo raids do well they will continue releasing newer raids) there will be more to enjoy. By that time SG will have time to make their decisions as we'll be well into T4 which looks very promising.

Does every single player in the game have to be in the same spot in terms of progression? The reason this game is deteriorating in the west is because how fast, time consuming, and hard this game was from release to now. We got content so fast and in order to play the newest content people fomo'd into making many alts and playing hours every single day. This results in burnout. To your suprise most players would probably enjoy having the freedom of being behind in exchange for more freedom in progression.

I dont think bot will be able to do solo raid. Look at guardian raid from Calligos and up , almost no bots since it is more complex, and legion raid even Valtan is more difficult than Calligos
