Hope you can keep termites out of your tree trunk supports. Are you going to insulate the attic? It helps to keep cooler in the house. I live in Satuek near buriram airport.

Thai shops not holding stock of many of the products they have on display is a real problem and I encountered this many times building our house and it was very frustrating and made managing the builders more difficult.

Watching with great interest how the house build is coming along, fascinating how different house building is in Thailand with steel metal roofing structure, is it coz wood is more expensive in these parts of the world or to make the roof more storm proof during monsoon. Also puzzled by no digging for foundation!!! Can’t wait for the walls to be put up but I won’t be surprised if they’re not bricks. I love pretty terracotta roof tilling but if you wanted free electricity all year round in a nice, hot country, the solar panels on roof would be hideous, tricky unless you guys already have solar panel up and running somewhere within this family complex.
