My parents listened to my eldest bro like his dogs and always beat my second brother and I, in the end the first child doesn't have friends cauz he's stuck up and think he's always right, he failed his exam and can't get into university, he lays in bed all day like a lazy slop and my second brother became more successful as he's a scholar now, now my parents favour my second brother more. But what's still upsetting is the fact that he realized what he did wrong only after Taejoon gave situation examples that would be hard to him and when the wife said she's starting to hate the 2nd son because that would be hard to the 2nd son. His realization on how bad the situation was not based on his love and empathy towards the 1st and 3rd son, but based more on how he and his 2nd son will suffer if keeps on going like this. His favoritism is so bad, that people need to remind him that his behavior affects not only the wife, 1st and 3rd sons but also himself and his favored 2nd son. In short, his realization is brought by his ego to protect himself and his 2nd son.

When I was going to college, I started living on my own and it's like finally I'm free from all the trantrum and tormendous. Now, it's pretty awkward for me to have even a small conversation with both my parents. Seeing my second brother makes me angry. I dont like my parents and my brother. By spoiling your kids, it will cause them to think they are out of reach of the rules and plant this mindset in their little heads of being untouchable while developing bad manners since they can do anything without getting reprimanded. There are no limits to how they are supposed to act. They will grow up meeting a lot of difficulties in the world outside with such behaviour. Parents are undoubtedly causing harm to their child by excessive pampering. Plus, not to mention the hurt experienced by the other 'unfavoured' kids and their dangerous jealousy towards the 'favoured' kid. It's not about equal treatment to all your kids, so that in the future, your returns will be much more balanced and in your advantage. It's all about your kids well-being in mind, not yours.

I'm the older and I never get jealous of my brothers, I think that's the proof that he takes care of us equally. We are 3 siblings, so if he spent more time with the youngest it's because he's his last child, if he take care of my brother the most it's because he has a heart disease and if he treat me differently it's because I'm his only girl and first children. It's really painful when parents do something wrong and rather argue or stay quite instead of apologizing yes it will hurt your pride but it's better than hurting your child's feelings.

I’m so glad he finally understood where he went wrong. So many times the people that go on the show don’t realise where they are wrong and are blind to their wrongdoing. At least he is willing to change, thank goodness.

I can definitely relate to the sons. Growing up, as the youngest only to my older brother, my dad showed me favoritism all the time. I feel so ashamed about how spoiled I was as a child. But my older brother is very successful now, and now I often get compared to him and even get put on the back burner for his events when I have some of my own. My dad even called me a loser for not being like my brother in highschool now. We both grew up resenting each other do to unbalance in love and favoritism (which has switched throughout the years, I'm only a freshman in college). I hope the dad realises this will only cultivate bad feelings in the brothers.

im actually so angry at him smh he's literally ruining their family's relationships their sons hate on each other his wife find herself caring their oldest and maknae his 2nd son feels like a king he feels like his brothers are way below him and soon he can even not respect his mom bc his dad is always behind him if this continue the oldest and maknae can hate his dad and like taejoon say dont care about their dad since his dad dont care about them his oldest and maknae sons can be very insecure since their own dad discriminates them even from such a young age and his second son can be like dongyeop say, not independent and be selfish and feel like everyones below him which is really bad i feel so satisfied when taejoon said those words he's savage man i hope that dad reflects on his action and not be one sided that what he's doing is ruining everything literally everything that he must not underestimate. i actually cried a lot when i didnt even cry watching the saddest movie/drama everyone around me recommend me to watch smh

I'm so worried about how the brothers' relationship will develop in the long run. I really hope the father will get his things together and drop the favoritism because having a good and memorable childhood with your siblings is so important! Even though it's not as serious or bad, this reminds me of the episode in Return of Superman regarding the twins and how the parents paid more attention to Seoeon and how it had an effect on Seojun.

The father probably won't change his stripes.. It's a problem that began in his childhood (He was probably bullied in his childhood by his older siblings) and is taking revenge on his kids. I do hope if he continues to show favouritism (What Tae Joon said willl come to pass cos which idiot would care for the very people that didn't do stuff/show love and affections to)

I´m an adult woman and my heart is bleeding when Hyung Seok says the father only buys toys for Hyun Jun. This is so terrible when a young kid has to experience at this age. This father doesn´t deserve to be a father. He has 3 wonderful children and all of them deserve love > his love !!! It´s the duty of parents to show their children that all 3 are equal and they are a unit that belongs together > as a familiy! They´re still so young. They haven´t startet their way in "our" real life and they already know what differences this guy makes with his own children. I would not only stretch my tongue to him. I would show him something else if he was my husband. It´s irresponsible what he does. Oh god... I´m really really really angry about so much ignorance and stupidity.
