Even if the husband was manipulated and lied to by his mother, it would be over the minute he raised his hand. He and the evil MIL would be lucky to ever see the baby.

Good story. So glad the man made the change. Rarely do I hear that in one of these stories.

Possessive mothers are frightening and the one in this story is the worst. Fortunately, Mike opened his eyes to his mother's true nature and picked his wife over his mother. Even a restraining order didn't stop her trying to interfere in their lives, because she couldn't let go of her son. Good story.

An ex didn't hit me but he grabbed me and shook and then pushed me hard enough to put me on the floor. All over me saying no to sex. He was out the door instantly. It starts small.

Such an intense story! It’s heartbreaking to see someone treated this way, but the twist at the end really shows how important personal growth and respect are.

Told my husband from the start I would never forgive him cheating or if he ever hit me. I would have seen a divorced lawyer the next day. The Mother in Law would have been gone a week later.

Therapy was the right move. Until I heard that I would have said bye forever. But Hubby made all the right moves once he realized what was really going on and how very wrong he was.

So blood is thicker than water doesn't mean what people think it does. It's not even the full quote. The full quote is the blood of the battlefield is thicker than the water of the womb. It's a Spartan thing. And no I'm not saying they necessarily used that quote but that is the way they lived. Those you fight with and bleed with in battle will stand by you and are more important than just basic familial ties.

Great story. What they overcame is a miracle. It doesn’t happen often but they were lucky. Through hard work love and determination of being truthful they made it. Lily is going to be one lucky little girl. ❤

For Mike to hit his wife without telling her the reason is very cruel. Especially when his wife was cooking his favourite food to tell him his pregnancy is unbelievable. He listen to his toxic mother who was divorced by her husband. The husband should never hit his wife without prove what his mother told him about his wife is criminal in nature. Such man don't deserve his wife love.

No person, man OR woman should hit their 'wife' / partner or whoever, doesn't matter who has given them information true/false. Even if proof is provided, it is ALWAYS unacceptable.
