Thank you for opening your heart and sharing your story 💕 I’ve struggled with infertility for 8 years! If I knew at the age of 32 about all the struggles I’m going to go through I’d not believe it… After trying for 1 year I got pregnant naturally but miscarried… at that time I was told it happens and it’s a bad luck.. next year I got pregnant again but miscarried again… no testing done only I was told to keep trying… we moved and I went to a fertility doctor who swiftly put me on a path of Ivf. I got pregnant but miscarried again… I was desperate for answers and more testing. I dug deep in forums for answers and started suspecting some immunological issues… when my Ivf doctor wanted to push for another Ivf without finding out the reasons behind miscarriages and I started to object… he eventually did blood clotting panel and I found out I have a clotting disorder. I still wasn’t satisfied with the answers and went to a different clinic where I could get some immunological testing done. I found out I had high natural killer cells, which partially explained my miscarriages… I did my 2nd Ivf, had good amount of oocytes retrieved but it ended up in a total fertilisation failure. I was so shocked! Then we did the 3rd Ivf with icsi, despite my husband’s great sperm results. The cycle also ended with no blastocysts. I was thinking there must me something wrong with my DNA and it’s not likely I’ll ever have biological children. I still did 4th Ivf cycle with Omnitrope, icsi and lots of supplements to improve the egg quality. I got a good amount of eggs but the clinic didn’t recommend waiting for blastocysts, so I had a transfer with two 2 day embryos… I was on IVIG, Granocyte injections, anticoagulant injections. I got pregnant but miscarried for the 4th time… 😢 i was due to trisomy 22… My Ivf doctor recommended us to look into an alternative way of having a child… It was a truly sad time for me but I refused to accept that…I asked for a laparoscopic surgery and found out I had endometriosis (stage1-2) which was removed in December 2021… after a long and lonely research I contacted a reproductive immunologist who was willing to help me. He found out I had a sub-clinical pcos, put me on ovarian support plan, which included pcos diet, supplements and hormones monitoring. I started with down regulation for 5th Ivf when I found out I was pregnant naturally!!! 🎉 I couldn’t believe it 💕 I promptly started an immune protocol, anticoagulant injections, progesterone and aspirin. It turned out to be a viable pregnancy and now I’m 17 weeks pregnant 😘🥳💝💕 I am so excited 🥳, I’m also happy I persevered and advocated for myself, when some doctors told me it’s not possible, I went to a different doctor! The book ‘Is your body baby friendly’ by Dr Alan Beer has been a total eye opener. I’m still very cautious about the pregnancy but trying not to stress and do the right things for me and the baby 😍

Life can be ironic. People that want kids and are ready for children cant have them and people that aren't ready or want them can't You are a fertility doctor trying to help other women get pregnant but you went thru miscarriages. Thank you for sharing your story and giving us hope. I lost my first pregnancy at 6 weeks and its an unimaginable pain but im hopeful to be able to get pregnant again 😊 I do have PCOS after my miscarriage my period started coming on their own i no longer had to induce them with progesterone. I think god works in mysterious way I prayed for my period to be fixes and come on their own and now they do. I have all the faith that he will work on my body again and give me my baby ❤️

Sasha I]m glad your body is responding and preparing itself for you to have a baby again. I lost my baby at 8 weeks after the baby's heart beat stopped. I have a condition called epilepsy which I take meds for. My neurologist told me my meds had most likely caused the babies passing. I'm scared to try again, knowing I still depend on medicine, and that I can lose another pregnancy, but after reading all your stories including the Dr's story, I have the hope to persevere and try again.😇

This story really made me sad and happy at the same time. I was focused on my career as well and got married at 38. Tried to get pregnant at 39 and got pregnant my first month of trying and my pregnancy was ectopic. I was also treated with methotrexate and it was emotionally rough. The thought of ivf scares me because it's super expensive for us, I'm from the Caribbean and our insurance does not cover it. Anyway thank you for sharing it has given me some hope.

This was really interesting to hear and I also felt a little chocked up at times 😢, so thank you for sharing. I'm a Medical Doctor (UK) who was absolutely unsure about what field to go into both in medical school and junior training but eventually... I left. I work in Tech now. I always miss the patient interaction and seeing patients through, there is no "job" like being a doctor, it was a complete privilege to be trusted and to take care of some many people... but another path was laid out for me, something I never thought would ever happen, but I am very happy in it now. So, when I add up the years... med school, medical training, a Masters in Computer Science, junior engineer, now almost senior... gosh, how time flies! So... as someone who knows the life of a medic, I want to say I'm sorry you went through so much during your own training and often alone. No one prepares us for that kind of life, definitely not medical school. I am so happy for you that you have the family for you in the end. You really glowed up when you talked about your children. Your story will really help people, and as you say at the end, a lot of fertility is out of our control, so we can only try and work on the things we can control. I am so grateful to fertility doctors so thank you for persevering and now creating this channel for others.

Hearing Your story is exactly why I wanted to prioritize having my kids and trying to conceive. I knew if I didn’t make it a priority that I would either struggle or wouldn’t do it at all. Thank you so much for creating this channel, and for telling your personal story. Even today at the end of 2023 there isn't so much information out there, I find that many of the doctor are still second-guessing things and it's very difficult to get the right information. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years; we both kept having really good test results from many different types of doctors across different countries, all the doctors told us that our results were great and they didn't know why we couldn't conceive. Last month we did IUI and I'm now on my 2nd week of conception. I'm now 41 and my husband is 42 years old. I wish there was more information out there about what to eat, what vitamins to supplement with, and what quantity (how many mg) of each vitamin. Your channel has helped me a lot, please keep doing the wonderful work that you do. !

😢 I'm sorry for your bad experience. I had a loss last fall and when I asked my obgyn for hormone and thyroid testing she said they don't do testing after a first loss. I was extremely upset and in doing research found that most doctors don't do testing until after 3! I decided to try other alternatives and found a more natural doctor, but still a real doctor who is covered by my insurance who was willing to do testing. My folate was ridiculously low, which can cause birth defects, and I was estrogen dominant. I've been working to correct that and now trying again. Maybe you can find a similar doctor in your area? There are doctors out there who can help in a kind way. Hoping you are successful!

Fast forward to 2 ½ years later when we started trying again, I’ve had 5 MCs in one year. I’ve had hormones checked, antibodies checked, chromosomal check. Im having my husband get his chromosomes checked, as his semen analysis was normal. My AMH test in 2011 showed premature menopause, however my last one 2 months ago showed a better result strangely. She said my reserve was low but I did have some. It’s being repeated in case of lab error. I also have problems with my uterus being really tiny and my endometrial layer really thin. So I literally cannot find anyone to ask questions or compare situations with. Problem is, I’m now single and in the UK, you can’t use a surrogate with donor eggs and donor sperm. So I’m in a bit of a bind. If ANYONE has any advise,this would be greatly appreciated. During my tests. They discovered my thyroid function was off, now on Levothyroxine and I have the thyroid antibodies too. Meaning an auto immune disease. I’m in a very complicated situation and all I want is a baby! I’ve had 11 miscarriages over a 20 year period too.

I’m so sorry! I don’t really have an advice but I’d recommend seeing a reproductive immunologist.

Thank you for sharing such a personal story!❤️ I work as a postpartum doula and work mother/baby and am struggling to getting pregnant currently, I love my moms and babies dearly! I have a son who is 3 and was surrogate and easily got pregnant through IVF, but now I’m afraid my endometriosis and PCOS is preventing a natural pregnancy but my OB isn’t listening to me or caring… it’s so disheartening. Should I just go to an RE to have them check my Endo and PCOS, since my OB doesn’t seem to be bothered? I had to beg to get an HSG which showed 1 blocked Fallopian tube and 1 patent tube as well as an arcuate uterus. I absolutely love and value your knowledge and experiences so much! Wish I was near your clinic! So hard to find doctors who listen and care.

Thank you for sharing your story with us Natalie. It is helpful to know that we are not alone going through this. If I may ask, you did mention you got pregnant with fertility treatment but did not mention which one. Which treatment did you do? I’m on my 4th IUI cycle and doctor said that if this is doesn’t work, I will need to do IVF 😢 I’m so scared

Thank you so much for sharing. My experience is very similar to yours. I have PCOS and I've had 3 miscarriages in the last 3 years. I'm currently 4w3d with my fourth pregnancy but just found out that my hcg only rose from 91 to 124 in 48 hours. I'm concerned it is an ectopic or another miscarriage :( I was really hoping I would finally have my rainbow.

Thank you for sharing your fertility journey ❤. I love watching your videos. You're so knowledgeable. I was wondering if you know anything about fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (fNAIT)? If you do I would love to see you do a video on it to help spread awareness. My mom, sister and I are all affected by it and it is rarely diagnosed due to lack of knowledge in the healthcare system world wide. Unfortunately it is not diagnosed until there are multiple miscarriages, a stillborn or baby born with a brain bleed, when testing is only a simple blood test for mom and dad.

Can you talk a bit more about how you actually got and stayed pregnant the first time? You mention fertility treatments but don’t actually explain what they were. Looking back were there warning signs? What testing did you do? What were the results? etc. As someone who went through this I’m sure you can understand those of us going through this are looking for what helped others.

Beautiful story. But how old were u when u mentioned you were old? Because if you were in your 30s, that is NOT old. I’m just sick of people saying that. Women miscarry at all ages. I know women who were in their 20s having multiple miscarriages. I feel like the healthier the woman the better. But love your story🩷

Would you ever consider, if you weren't going to be able to be with your partner, who you met later because you worked, after education, etc. it being ok to go on the pill for physical reasons, not to stop pregnancy. I have read enough to know it probably won't help protect eggs but might you think it's ok to go on the pill for an extra year you had never planned for, then get off before you could be together? Or is that more bad than good? I understand I should see my doctor, I just wonder what you might think. I have a lot to do and felt better on bcp. I do not want to make matters worse. Sorry long question.

Hi my name is Liliana I had my tubes tied for five years after the five years I had him untied because I got remarried to someone else we were trying to have a baby already for two years and nothing has happened I don’t know if there is something you can tell me or if I can get your number so I can call you cause we’re really trying to have another baby I keep checking every month and keep trying but I keep getting negatives
@rosyapplekitchen6352 жыл бұрын
Maybe have a camera up your tubes? A lot of people have got pregnant after this. As well as the usual hormone checks?
