Congratulations!! Definitely wasn't expecting you to drop that one at the end! I applaud you for retaking full control over your hair. If I haven't learned anything else, it's that you gotta listen to and know your own hair and what it likes and what it doesn't. There is definitely no one-size-fits-all when it comes to natural hair. There are so many folks out here supposedly doing all the "wrong" things and yet their hair is hanging down their backs and thriving.

This!! My daughter (15) doesn’t take care of her at all. I have to tell her (read: yell at her) to deep condition. Her diet is trash (extremely picky eater), def does not drink enough water.. her hair is tailbone length. Lol I do ALL the things and by the grace of God, it’s bra strap length… after YEARS of taking good care of it. It’s comical at this point. 😅

Yes, to flat ironing your hair! I didn't straighten my hair for almost 4 years. Just didn't want to anymore. In 2022 I cut my hair into a pixie cut and been wearing it straight since then. I learned ceramic flat iron is best for my hair. Titanium is too hot. Why should anyone wear their hair one way unless they want to. Players choice around here. 😂 Seriously, people are free to do whatever they like to their hair especially people like yourself that are visible on social media. Have fun!

I used to think professional hair products were better and I still use Deva curl, Amika As well as Qhmet Biologics I love this because my hair is so dry and I just started using Anthony Dickey products I love these too I like having fun too and not being so serious bout my hair I’m salt and pepper and if any one is gray they may notice gray hair does its own thang😂. I have no idea which category the products I’ve been using fall into.😲 But, I’ve had to really change things up for Winter. The temps are below zero and wearing my hair out in my usual WnG just is not an option. I’m following your lead….I’ve switched to twists under head wraps with moisturizing and re-twisting in between wash days which happen every 14 days while I’m dealing with Arctic temperatures!! I’ve also started using petroleum jelly to seal moisture into my twists (I’ve got serious high porosity hair!) and my strands are loving it! So….I get You!!! Keep it real and Keep it YOU!!! 🥰😍

Girl I feel you! Sounds like you’re listening to your crown and moving accordingly! I love hearing it too! 😍💯 The salon brands are usually more expensive and are typically used in the salon. They are considered higher quality etc. Drugstore brands and just that. Ones you can find in the drug store but are amazing too. We just gotta figure out what works best for us and what doesn’t. You can expect to see me wearing more alternative styles. I’m super excited about it too. 💖😃🥳

Great question! Mine tend to last for 5-7 days. I use products high in glycerin and they seem to help keep hold the moisture longer. Not to mention deep conditioning weekly and implementing a leave in. 💖

I never liked helmet hair. I Love Kinky Curly and the Doux products. I use some Mielle and Camille Rose. I like Miche products also. Yes the curly cuts I stopped that in 2022. I still have to get some damage hair cut off. I Love getting my hair cut in a blown out State. That's when I wear it straight. We should all get to know our own head of hair. I co wash between my workouts and use a shampoo after 7 days. I still will clarify after maybe 6 to 8 weeks. I always deep condition after clarify. Love your videos you are so funny...
