Just bought one for 115 euro new, crazy steal. I don't even bake that much 😂 But the reviews are good and it has useful attachments

@jortpeters6419 sounds good 👍 I still use mine, not a lot, nice to hear you got the attachments with it 😉
@Hedgehogsinthemist1237 ай бұрын
I bought my mixer a few years ago. I didn't use it for years because I found it didn't make cakes very well. It turned out I wasn't using the right attachment. I now use the creamer instead of the beater. I have found the mixer moves around quite badly and I thought it was just my machine and that maybe I hadn't fitted the attachment properly, but I have checked this and it seems I am fitting it correctly. Now, you've told me about the adjusting tool, I'm thinking that maybe I need to make an adjustment because, when it's mixing, the attachment doesn't seem to look all that central in the bowl and when I screw it in, there is still a lot of thread showing. I still have the adjustment tool somewhere and will make an adjustment and see if it makes a difference. I'd forgotten about the splash guard and I will use it in future because having to keep stopping and lifting up the head each time to add something slows down the process. Thanks for the very useful advice and review.

This machine is very much the same as other manufacturers. They are not like our mums or nan's older ones 😕 even if you manage to sort out the adjustment, then the machine will still move around with dough and some heavy cakes, but in saying that. My bakery mixers will move about on the floor if they are not bolted to the floor. It's always been the case, good luck 👍 laters Steve 😀

Very helpful-I just bought one off eBay £140-said used twice. It looks to be older 500W version but hey ho! -lovely red colour. Noticed it doesn't always start 1st time but didn't know the red a/cw position is start?? Once or twice made a sharp noise like a solenoid bolt moving on start up-I'm guessing?? Have the creamer -it's great. Love the don't do this at home comment!

Funny thing is mine doesn't start off right away, it has a built-in low stress starter, which in turn works up to speed, I must say mine has odd noises 😀 but generally for me it seems to work fine with cakes 🎂 but mixing dough for me is a no no, I got a machine for dough making 😀 😉 have lots of fun 😀 laters Steve

Nice one Steve. I use a Sage "Bakery Bros" mixer. Best part about it is the silicone bladed beater that scrapes the bowl down as it mixes. No having to stop and "scrape down" all the time.

Just made a cake and used that creamer beater in my Kenwood, this is funny, I don't know what the thing was for, I just love it, I am going to get that £50.00 hob which I need badly same as you, now I was thinking about new scales electric, and thinking about cooking machine with a 6.5 litres bowl, as you can see I am going for it on KZbin, 3 videos weekly, all I need is a good timing to work out how 🤣🤣 laters

Hi.. thanks for your review! Just wanted to check about your further experience with Kenwood Kmix post this review and how would you rate it against KitchenAid Artisan on performance. Thank you!
@crazybaker1 Жыл бұрын
Hi firstly this is the smaller version of Kenwood, so before I can rate it against Kitchenaid it would depend on what you are going to do with it, Today I don't use Kenwood or Kitchenaid at all for bread types of dough as both are not very good, as for cake making both do the same job and are the same quality 😀 my Kenwood is still working well and no problems as a cake maker 😊 if I was buying a expensive Kenwood or Kitchenaid non of them can handle bread dough well, both are not made like the older models, so basely it's a choice between Chelsea and West ham, I know this is not the answer you want 😀 but that is how things are today 😀 laters Steve

I’ve only had my 1000W Kmix for six years. When I turn it on to the lowest speed setting (1), the machine suddenly ramps up to full speed for around 5 seconds and then slows down by itself. It then doesn’t respond to further changes on the speed dial. Same with the fold mechanism. Has this happened to you? No idea what causes this
@crazybaker13 жыл бұрын
Hi I always start on min then move to 1 speed and it ok, now its very much the same with the fold gear, I move from 0 to fold and it runs until it stops automatically, so from the sounds of yours it could be gears, now from what I have been told gears are nylon and replacements are easy to get, ok sometimes price out ways a repear, if it seems ok to use and your happy with it great, but currently a new one is around £200 from Curry's PC world which is a great buy, hope this helps a bit 😊 laters Steve 😀

There not the same as the older one, but in saying that the Kitchenaid is the same, the new ones are coming out the factory with nylon cogs, kitchenaid is the same thing, because I have a Bakery myself on my commercial machine they take the stress, but one of my smaller machines made in China isn't good nylon cogs, funny thing it's cost £300 new for a 10 litre bowl ok for cakes and cream, bread and rolls no 😀😀 laters Steve

What is the defference between this and kmx84 and kmx750ab
@crazybaker14 жыл бұрын
The 84 is 1000w and multi coloured, 760 1000k and colour, I know what you are thinking, a lot of manufacturers change models with misleading colours, you pay more for gold etc. And of course you can get the 2 bowls in S/S or glass, funny thing you pays your money for a choice, but you get the same model really, it does my head 😀😀 laters

Kenwood is cheaper than it used to be since it was bought out by Delongihi . Ken Wood died in 1995 but not sure when the company was sold or when the genuine Kenwood mixers ran out however don’t expect the long life people talk of with Kenwood with these copies and a real Kenwood won’t rock

I use a Ankarsrum. Depends what you want it to do. Ank has a 7quart stainless steel bowl and can make several loaves at the same time along with large cake or cookie dough. It doesn’t work like any other mixer in the world so you need to see it work on KZbin. It also has a plastic bowl which is smaller but I’ve never tried it. Looks great for whipping cream and eggs but I don’t have room on my worktop. I’ve got a kitchen aid artisan and Kenwood titanium. My Kenwood is what it says it is, had it years all solid stainless steel but it’s not the major. I didn’t want a bigger one when I bought it. I started doing quite high hydration dough and could only do 500 gram flour loaf because it needed to run so long. The only other middle mixer I could find was Bosch mum but it’s messy and noisy. Bosch is also difficult to find in uk, this model anyway and I think it’s about £500 with plastic bowl. Ankarsrum is £600, hand made in Sweden.
