From someone who deals with being alone on a daily basis and have been for decades even while living with an alcoholic, very abusive mother, this song really touches me like no other. To all of you who like myself are alone, come from fragmented families, we who society and even church members view as the least, who hunger for love and affection, who truly feel forsaken, left alone and suffer from the effects of undeserved abuse, you are not alone even when you can't feel or sense anything, He's there and many others are in similar situations too. One day the last will be first and the first will be last.

Your story touched me. You are not alone. You are a special daughter of God. May you be able to feel the love of your Savior.

"one day the last will be first and the first will be last" thk you, in the mean time we suffer in loneliness and look to a brighter future...peace be to you..abuse, loneliness, unfulfilled yearnings, broken families, unnoticed presence, the affection that is no where to be found, the Love that is a distant thought....it's all the most poignant and profound....so many are called upon to feel the same feelings and trudge through the same sadness and regret.....

I was hospitalized three times for depression between 2002 and 2005. In 2008 I began excruciating bouts with arthrits. In 2014 I suffered a stroke which left me blind. In 2017 my kidneys failed, leaving me needing dialysis for life. Today, I continue with dialysis, and with cysts all over my body. Having said that: "Though [my] afflictions seem to great to bear, [He] knows my every thought and every care... And though the very jaws of hell gape after [me], [He] is with me... " With everlasting mercy HE has succorred me, and with healing HE has taken me 'neath his wings. I am no longer blind, I no longer have arthritis, and I have not had a serious bout with depression in 15 years. HIS KINDNESS HAS NOT DEPARTED FROM ME. NOR FROM YOU.

Doctrine and Covenants 20:28 Which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen. Mormon 7:7 And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.

Beautiful rendition. Our Father in Heaven loves us. His love extends to eternities. We are His children. All he requires from us is to obey his commandments. He is a good of new beginnings. I might have messed up yesterday, he wants me to start all over again today. He lives! His son Jesus Christ lives and has his arm extended to help us.

My neighbor is Ed Payne, the producer of Music and the Spoken Word. A week ago, I gave him the name of this song, this KZbin video location, and the website of Spire Music, and requested this song be performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I made it a special request. He told me that Mack Wilberg would appreciate the suggestion since it relieves his burden somewhat. I would love it even more if they asked Rob to come and be a guest conductor when they perform it. We'll see what happens.

For a little while Have I forsaken thee; But with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee For a moment. But with everlasting kindness will I gather thee, And with mercy will I take thee ‘neath my wings, For the mountains shall depart, And the hills shall be removed, And the valleys shall be lost beneath the sea, But know, my child, My kindness shall not depart from thee! Though thine afflictions seem At times too great to bear, I know thine every thought and every care. And though the very jaws Of hell gape after thee I am with thee. And with everlasting mercy will I succor thee, And with healing will I take thee ‘neath my wings. Though the mountains shall depart, And the hills shall be removed, And the valleys shall be lost beneath the sea, Know, my child, My kindness shall not depart from thee! How long can rolling waters Remain impure? What pow'r shall stay the hand of God? The Son of Man hath descended below all things. Art thou greater than He? So hold on thy way, For I shall be with thee. And mine angels shall encircle thee. Doubt not what thou knowest, Fear not man, for he Cannot hurt thee. And with everlasting kindness will I succor thee, And with mercy will I take thee ‘neath my wings. For the mountains shall depart, And the hills shall be removed, And the valleys shall be lost beneath the sea, But know, my child, My kindness shall not depart from thee!

Oh how Isaiah 54:10 "sings" from the printed page of scripture. The depth and the certainty of God's love is set forth in this text which makes this promise a foundation of faith for all Christians of all times. What is written in Isaiah and His Word is for our comfort. "It is finished" -- it is done -- it is complete -- an eternity in the mansions of the Lord awaits all that hold to this ultimate kindness -- by faith in Christ alone! To God be the glory! I may not have answers to the all questions I have - but there's no reason to backtrack and ever doubt what I've already known. I know most of the lyrics are scripture but I don't think that line is. Yes Sister, the sentiments you have expressed are what many kindhearted individuals experience, which experiences come of others living "of the World", but the Saviour is aware, and one can find solace in his love. However, life goes on, and there are many opportunities to find good-hearted people in every day situations. Many Church members are like others of our Brothers and Sisters in the World, not living Christlike lives, nor Living the higher standards of the Temple Covenants. Reach out to those who do care, and out of 10, you will find the Gem of the "Christlike person". I know it is hard when one has suffered abuse, but "Focus" on "being the right person", before extending yourself for "looking for the right person", friend or Partner.

A Blessed Christmas 2018 - KZbin Viewers! A request, please. Thanks. “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed says the LORD, who has compassion on you”. Isaiah 54:10 The promise of a Savior, first given to Adam and Eve, is repeated throughout the Old Testament, including this verse from Isaiah. The depth and certainty of God’s love is a promise basic for the faith of all Christians - of all times. Isaiah wrote this for our comfort, then and now, as we once again rejoice in the Savior’s birth. "It is finished" -- it is done -- it is complete -- an eternity in the mansions of the Lord awaits all that hold to this ultimate kindness -- by faith in Christ alone! To God be the glory! With love in your heart, tell your family, your friends, the person with whom your relationship is strained, "there is nothing more that I ask of you than to see your face in heaven - by faith in Christ alone".
