Thank you for your comment, I hope I won't disappoint ;) I can't even crochet myself (save for a simple chain), I really want to learn one day though.

Hi I’m Paula from Canada. Just discovered your podcast and am binge watching it. Three things about me. 1. I learned to knit in Norway as an exchange student when I was 18. 2. I have 3 grandchildren with a fourth on the way so I’m starting to enjoy baby knits. 3. I am an avid board gamer with my hubby and whomever I can drag into it (since I can knit while playing)

Hello, I enjoy designing knit patterns as well altho mine are very simple and easy, since my true passion is Teaching. I opened a small yarn shop in my home 13+ years ago, teach here as well as the Continuing Ed. programs in two other towns. I keep myself pretty busy. My students are wonderful ladies with a great thirst for knitting. We have shared a few of Your Lovely Patterns and will continue to do so!! Again, Like you, I love to garden but my Knees don't allow me to get on the ground anymore. I have reverted to Container Gardening...Just as Dirty and Fun!! Not as successful this past year due to much rain...Oh, I live in Southern NH, born and raised in New England with a true Bostonian Accent! We Roll our "R's" I thoroughly enjoy this podcast...Thank You for all your Hard Work!!!!

Hi Joanne, thanks for writing this introduction! I love container gardening too, I have a terrace that is quite big and I have lots and lots of stuff growing up here. In fact just a moment ago I was out there trying to tidy up and prepare things for the winter. So nice that you are teaching knitting from your home! Best of luck with your designs!

I'm so glad to have found your KZbin channel. I knitted your Latte jacket pattern for my granddaughter 4 years ago. I used red wool and lined it with a red floral print fabric. It's one of my all time favorite knits-- knitted on a beautiful autumn road trip from Oregon to Wyoming. Such great memories associated with that piece...not to mention that it was BEAUTIFUL! I'll be watching all your videos!!

Love your podcasts. You remind me of my aunt Adie when she was your age. So beautiful! Wow, your moving to so many places, how wonderful. Did you enjoy it, or was it hard? Loved your 3 things❤ 3 things about me: 1. I am a born-again Christian 2. I am mother to 8, one homemade and 7 adopted (we also homeschool) 3. I have been knitting since a girl, but 2 years ago restirred my passion for it. Have been making and designing sweaters for me mainly. Knitting has been a gift during a hard time of having one of our children walk away from our family. Yarn has brought me joy at a time in my life that has been so sorrowful. For years I knit for others, but finding selfish knitting has been great therapy for my mama's heart. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I enjoy watching podcasts in the evening as I knit.

1. I am knitting obsessed 2. I too love gardening but my current garden is a real challenge: heavy clay which is like a pond over winter; moles love to visit 🙄; terrible bindweed and ground elder and I have 2 Westies who have no respect for plants; 3. I am Scottish and live in NW England ❤️

Oh that does sound like challenging soil, but the fact that you have moles is at least a sign that you have plenty of earthworms!

I was so excited this morning when I woke up and saw that you've now started a podcast! Three things about me: 1. I've test knit a couple patterns for you (Still Woods, which my not-quite-3-year-old-daughter loves to wear) and the Fingering Entrechat. I'm not a professional testknitter but I have used the opportunity to test for a few designers (you, TinCanKnits, and Skeinanigans) to learn new techniques. 2. I'm in a unique position career-wise because I don't know anyone else who does what I do. I'm a freelance Children's Librarian. After working full-time a number of years, I stopped working and had my daughter (expecting another daughter in February, just after I turn 40!), I began taking my daughter to the local library for storytime when she was 4 months old. The Children's Librarian knew me from when I worked at a different library and asked if I'd be interested in subbing for her on occasion and told me I could bring my daughter. That turned into me now specializing in teaching families ASL (American Sign Language) through storytime. I specialize in Baby/Toddler and occasionally Preschool Sign Language Storytimes. I have a brother who is Deaf so I love sharing ASL with others. 3. My best friend and I are starting up our own indie yarn dyeing business. We don't expect it to turn into anything huge. We both just love fiber, fiber arts, and playing with color, so we decided to go for it. I sometimes let my daughter suggest colors or "help" dye (I also keep packets of Kool-Aid so she can dye mini skeins from time to time.) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your podcast as episodes release! I'm also looking forward to knitting more of your designs for baby #2. :)

Hi Amy! I didn't know it was possible to be a freelance children's librarian, how cool! And how awesome that you teach ASL. Congrats on your pregnancy, lots of knitting ahead, sounds like :D Good luck with the indie yarn dyeing biz!

Hello 🙋, I saw your FB post this morning, immediately shared it with my knitting group, brewed a cup of tea then sat down to watch. To say that I am excited would be an understatement. ☺️ 3 things about me? 🤔 1: I'm a beginner knitter. While I always wanted to learn, I was intimidated by what seemed to be an extremely difficult craft. A couple of years ago, I joined a small knitting group on FB and their beautiful projects were just the inspiration I needed to take the leap. It was that group which introduced me to you by often recommending your patterns as beginner friendly. To date I have still only completed one ball and 2 bonnets, the Petites Feuilles bonnet actually. I found it extremely well written and easy to follow along. It was my first ever project and a complete success until my toddler immediately unraveled it. 😄 2: I have 2 toddlers who monopolize all my time. They are the reason I have only completed 3 projects in 2 years. 3: I love to cook. Food is constantly on my mind. What favorite dishes to make. What new recipes to experiment with. I love it all. You've lived in so many different places. I can just imagine all the wonderful recipes you've collected over the years.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words! It's so hard to knit with small children around, small projects are the way to go I think! I love to cook as well, but I think my husband is a better cook than I am ;)

Hellooo! Very nice to meet you! 1. I have had a horse for 19 years and we take dressage lessons, even after all these years. We are both middle aged and it keeps us both healthy (I am 58). 2. I love to knit. I am learning how to do better colour work and Fair Isle knitting. 3. I am learning how to play ukulele. Presently I am learning "Sounds of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel and also Beethoven's 6th on ukulele. It's good for my brain. Wow! I guess I am still learning interesting things!

Hi Penny, wow a horse! What's his/her name? I always get a kick out of horse names. How fun that you play ukulele, my husband too! He's been playing for a couple years now and I think it's such a great instrument. When he practices, it makes me feel like we're on a permanent Hawaiian vacation!

Now me: I was born and raised in New Zealand, came to Canada to live as a young adult, now I am a senior and still live in Canada, I have 2 adult children and 3 teenage grandchildren. I have enjoyed knitting since I was a very young child. That might be more than 3 things!

I really like your style! I just restarted knitting after ages I love circulars and I'm wondering why interchangeables are so popular, I suppose for marketing reasons Ten years ago I was very proud when I knitted a seamless cardigan for my little daughter, I invented hot water :) :) I'm knitting a bottom up/ seamless /plain yoke sweater for my daughter and becoming a professional frogger!
