Dan, here's a simple fact: you're a very interesting (whether you want to admit it or not), clever and genuinely funny person - that's literally more than enough to fuel this channel and have your audience thoroughly entertained, inspired, motivated and feeling connected to you. And the best part is, get this, all those things that we love about you that keep us coming back are always there no matter what you decide to do for a video. ;) I don't know if you've noticed but you have a pretty damn strong and striking character and it's kinda omnipresent in absolutely EVERYTHING you do and since that's why we're all here, you never have to worry about the main thing about your content lacking. :) Just do whatever you want, be true to your wishes and interests, and as long as there's sincerity there, people will keep watching and supporting. :)) Here's to the new Dan era, hoping it lasts and enjoying the wild ride together! :D

@@danielhowell We're each day getting closer to the twilight zone. World's being destroyed, basic rights are constantly in danger, and morality has a price. I wonder at which level of society becoming fiction will it invert so that the movies where things make sense, and justice prevails, seems more foreign to us. Will then we, sit down and watch happy families, equality, respect and joy and marvel at how strange, improbable, and unrealistic those images are. Will we hope and strive for that which we see. Or will we call that fantasy. Odds are we will do what we do now. Point and gasp at the insanity of those drowning behind the screen elsewhere, while we kick our feet to keep our heads afloat in the ocean surrounding us.

11:24 OMG I almost spat out my drink all over my computer! I love how phil has been casually the moon to your earth, your whole life, sometimes blocking the sun and other times brightening the night. Relationship or not, you guys better be besties forever, you can't share cat whiskers and then part ways XD Love you Dan! Been watching since 2017, It has been amazing watching you grow, and even as you struggle, you came up with this hilarious talk show! Do i want more? YES! Let's bring those podcast days to youtube!

This whole Dan Returns Arc had been like finding out your favorite neighborhood taco truck , which you hadn’t seen in two years, has opened a five star Mexican restaurant. I’m thrilled and can’t wait to eat there but also I would totally still eat at just the taco truck. Taco trucks and five star restaurants are both good food just in different ways and I know I’ll love it either way.

I’m so happy for you Dan! Coming out of your comfort zone, wrote a book, doing stand up comedy, (which was fantastic btw) doing YT again, and soon a world tour! Plus all this after you got to make your dream house with Phil! You’re doing great Dan, and it’s really awesome to see! 😌 🖤

This was depressing, delightful and uplifting, the perfect synthesis for these dystopian times lol very glad to have you back Dan 💜

You gave us HUNDREDS of videos and watch time, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. We’ve stayed because you’re genuine, and I grew up with you pretty much, so seeing you grow (even though you won’t acknowledge it) has been fulfilling and wholesome. We started with some craziness and ofc we had our Phan phase, but at the end of the day we made it here. You’re respectable, mature, and real. I’ll always watch these videos, even if it’s for a background noise. The chances of you seeing this are actually hella slim, but that’s okay. Because plenty of other people feel the same way.

All I could think by the end was "You Fucking Clickbaiter" bc of that last clip and wow that is exactly what he said he would do, give the algorithm what it wants, give the audience what they want (or at least tease us with it). I'm strangely proud of him even though I know he's going through it. Hope this helps you Dan and if not, hope you live happily on your remote island 😀

I started following you when I was ten and went through the awkward phase, emo and drawing cat whiskers onto myself at every given moment. Now I’m almost 21 and while I still have my existential crisis, I’m the future NHS and studying physiotherapy. Lots of things have changed but you’re still hilarious and I’ll still watch you in between crying at my anatomy book.

Dan! I started following you as an awkward middle schooler. I'm 24 now and still kinda awkward, but I'm also a gainfully employed engineer. Thank you for all of the videos you make and the community you created. The phandom on tumblr really made me feel less alone as a teenager. I felt like I was so weird and awkward, and at times I didn't have a lot of friends. You (and Phil) created a place where I felt celebrated for the things that made me feel like an outcast. Your impact on my life was definitely a positive one. I'm excited to see this next chapter of content you make!

I swear I could chill with you on a livestream like, reading a book, or doing your bills, and it would still be enjoyable purely because of your energy. You're funny, compassionate, dark, cynical, and calming all at the same time; a fantastical paradox of a man that deserves only the best in life! I can safely say you are my favourite content creator no matter how infrequently you provide us with said content.

Yea Dan, I've been here a decade now. Just happy, as always, to see ur face and listen to u talk about whatever u think is important! You got heaps of natural charm, my dude, and you're just easy to listen to. xx Never worry that ppl won't like your content. You're a real gem.

Currently watching this video in my old d&p merch while I try to calm my nerves for my first day of university tomorrow. Started watching you in grade 6 and even though I don’t put sharpie whiskers on my face anymore, you’ll always have a special place in my heart. I’ve grown up with you. Thank you. ❤️

Dan is one of the only people who can talk about sex and not make me (an asexual person) uncomfortable. 🤣 I joke, but sincerely I think the fact that he doesn't try to dance around it or make the very mention of it seem "risque" so much as just... y'know, an awkward slightly weird thing that lots of people enjoy doing, does make it a lot easier to digest than the way so much media portrays sex. Glad to have you back Dan, and super excited to see you making more of the content that YOU want to make.

Having watched Dan for the past 10-plus years, being that creepy old man wheezing in the corner, it is wonderful to see him let rip. I am waiting with bated breath to see more of this young comedic genius as he full-throatedly roars his anxiety away. I have not laughed so hard for so long in a while and Dan’s particular humour and delivery have tickled me greatly. Keep up the angst-driven dystopian content.

Dan, let's be real, we are here for your content, however it will look like. Also I always saw your bigger/longer videos as specials and don't mesure other videos of you by those. I really enjoyed the videos you posted on your other account too and this one is great as well. Also I 100% understand your problem with social media. I only scroll on imgur for memes and thats it...
