I remember that feeling getting out in 2011. I thought it was the happiest day of my life to get out and explore new opportunities in law enforcement. The espirit de corps, honor, courage, commitment, discipline and leadership is by far unmatched to what I had in the Marine Corps. We can't do half the things we used to do and training budgets wasn't even in our vocabulary. I now take for granted the best training I ever had, the best Marines I ever served with and the best leadership anyone could ever ask for. When I see movies, documentaries, or just a Marine color guard in a parade I get this huge sense of pride for my service. I'm now considering going back in as an Officer after having finished two degrees. I never thought I'd ever consider it but we'll see. Congratulations on your new business. I can see that you take huge pride in your endeavors and I wish the best for you.

Even people who volunteered, they got denied. One of my buddies was a Ranger stationed in Washington and he had a girlfriend and a kid and he was wanting to get married so they could move to where ever he went and he got married and they came around asking for volunteers for something and he volunteered and they said he had a wife and kids and within a few weeks those that volunteered got deployed to Iraq.
