This first 40 seconds of this had me rolling brother man!! You and I are such truth stretchers :). I just bought my last one too (wink/wink, in case your wife reads these comments, that was just for her). I had, almost, this same guitar built here in the states. Haven't done a review on it yet, but when I do you'll see that it is very close to that one (woods/construction). Great video sir!

Hello Rona. Our lockdown hasn't finished yet! 🙄 It will slowly open up in a couple of weeks! 🤞 🙏 Yes! It is is a nice guitar. I'm stoked. Yes I've known Johnny for over 30 years & his talent is that solid I can only put in one word, MAGICAL. I don't know how many times people have responded to me saying, that he must have picking loops on his fingers to be playing so good. Where I always reply to them. No he just has a magical talent that has no error. But I love hearing him play it always feel a spiritual healing sense that puts me into balance within. Awesome Johnny.

Really lovely guitar John. I am no expert on guitars but I do know the best top is Spruce for the sound. As for the heavy strings, you will get away with the heavy gauge on that guitar and you will get a very good volume with that body. My Takamine is not suited for heavy strings and to get the best sound from mine I have to plug it into an amp. It is electro-acoustic. My son gave me a 12 string guitar he wasn't using so I am going to get one of those Seymour Duncan pickups for it. They are brilliant pickups. The couple of chords you played sounded brilliant. Mike. Nice to hear from Ya' Mate and glad you liked the story. It's obvious, the love I have for acoustic guitars. I love the fact that no matter how much money we lay out for one, the all develop a sound that is unique to that guitar, well I think so! 🤷 Having said that, the better the wood used and to a certain extent, the hardware, the more delicate the sound and and they definitely have a bit more sustain. All of them seem to better with age also! Very glad you've got yourself a twelve stringer. .They are great for some songs. Very handy to have. I'm looking forward to hearing you playing that. Yes! I'd heard of Semour Duncan pickups for years, but haven't looked into them at all till now. Andrew Ellis speaks highly of them! I don't know if you have ever heard of John Butler up there, but he is pretty big down here. A guy out of Perth, excellent guitarist whose main guitar is a 12 stringer, well, 11 stringer . . . . he only fits one 'G' string instead of two. Johnny L - thanks for sharing your new guitar with us! Beautiful guitar, and really cool that the luthier (Ellis) made this guitar for you! The new Taylor I got also is thinner in the body by the neck and thicker by the saddle/end too, like your Ellis. Interesting feature on the Ellis that the head / tuning pegs look like a classical guitar / nylon string style. Just be careful - don't be like the guy I saw in a cartoon that read - "my wife said if I buy one more guitar she's gonna leave me - i'm sorry to see my old lady go..." 😂

It is, as I mentioned, a tad hard to play and I think I might have to have it tweaked to allow me an easier play. 🤷 Yes!! Taylor guitars are a very progressive guitar company, for example, their 'X Bracing'. I have to say I wasn't aware of Taylor guitars using the 'Wedge', but it doesn't surprise me at all. Alright!!! @@johnnyl1957 Yes, did you mention you are playing with .013 (is that inch) high E string set? That's what I use on my Taylor, but my acoustic is always tuned down a 1/2 step in Eb, which means the .013's feel like about .011 or .012 strings in normal (E) tuning, so .013 in standard E tuning would be a little bit high tension for me too. Uh-oh, you are making me sweat - back on the clock! 😲 OK, I did set up some click tracks, and recorded a little acoustic guitar tonight, I"ll try to keep it going...got to beat the clock 😲😁😂🍺🎵

Beautiful Guitar my Friend. I totally get you. It´s the same with me... generally we have too much Guitars and can´t play em all but it is as it is. From time to time we have to get another one :) I was looking for a Nylon Acoustic for the classical Stuff, 2 Weeks ago. Bought a cheap Fender because of the smaller Neckwidth and it was a nice and well made Guitar for the Price but to be honest... Nylon is not really my Thing, as i had to realize. I stay with the Steelstrings. Nevertheless... your new one seems awesome to me. Looking forward for your first Playing-Video with it. Happy Greetings :)

Hey Tom . . . really interesting reply. I just love guitars, especially acoustic guitars! That's pretty obvious I suppose. 🤷 I had to buy a nylon strung guitar a few years back because I just fell in love with Willie Nelson's guitar, that he affectionately calls 'Trigger'!! You have got to look up this guitar (Willies Guitar). In my humble opinion, it has an amazing sound . . . so unique!! . . . and after seeing it, one can't understand why. It looks like a 'train wreck'!!! 😊 In Country music circles this guitar is legendary! 😊 I don't mind a wide neck on my guitars . . . like nylon strung guitars . . . maybe it is because my hands are biggish! 🤷 I would love to hear at least one of your 'Classic Series' pieces played on your nylon strung guitar. 🙏 I'm sure it would sound great. 👌 Anywho Tommy! @@johnnyl1957 I don't have room for any extra guitars. I live in a tiny studio apartment. I haven't been practicing for a long time because everyone here can here everyone else. I have two shared walls and I have people downstairs below me. I wanted to play my electric guitar. I bought a 7 string guitar last year because I wanted to learn my favourite metal songs. But I'm self conscious about how loud it is. And I don't have a tripod to put camera on. The guitar video I have up is old, it's in one of my old places. I have old guitar videos on a USB stick but I don't think they're good enough to upload. My Led Zeppelin guitar video is getting more views than the llama! 😩 I made those for myself, not for KZbin. I started making the movies because I can be creative without annoying other people with noise! 😀

Nice to have a chat! Also nice to hear that you are able to gig live. The entertainment industry here is screaming to be able to perform. I do feel for them.
