Most of us show off our knife collection. Some show off their multi tool collection. A few show off their Victorinox or Leatherman collections. But this man right here shows off his leatherman charge+ collection
@KinuGrove4 жыл бұрын
After spending way to much time researching multi tools I ordered the Charge +. Lost my skeletool last. Was originally going to get the Wave + but with the belt clip and bits being extra it made sense to get the Charge +. Thanks for all the awesome videos !!!

You’re very welcome. Charge+ is a winner in my book. Wish they had an upgraded version of the Surge to mimic it.

Wow that woodland camo looks slick. Sold out everywhere... grabbed the g10 earth instead (not that I'm complaining, haha). And yeah, the carbon fiber damascus one is a beautiful piece. Love the black with the blue accents.
@txtoolcrib3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, those speciality models are pretty slick.

Thanks to your Charge plus review I bought one (non TTi) . Love it. Mine came with an s30v blade for some reason. No complaints from me.

@Maixo2 жыл бұрын
Got one recently and it's magnificent! I have the Surge which is as good as it gets but.. It's too heavy for edc. I have the bit kit, bit extender and a ratchet on the pouch as well which makes it a hefty bundle - I have it in car and use it for any of those emergency jobs. At work, I carry the charge and knipex cobra xs and they get me out of jail regularly 👍

Great Video! I have watched it TWICE. I still have not purchased a Charge yet. I might just settle for a Wave... I bought a Gerber Center Drive, and while it's a great tool, it's too bulky for carrying. IMHO
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
The Wave is a great option, but the Charge is a cut above. They offer a couple of more features and better blade steel. The outer tools also operate a little smoother because of extra washers. They can be quite expensive though.

heywoodf, the more you get experienced and capable at something, you're like to go to the position you don't actually have to work on the thing. Maybe the same thing goes with the tools. Ben, thanks for sharing. Fantastic collection!

You should check out the Charge XTI and ALX. They have two bit drivers. Never really carried the X ones, but they’re nice to have in the collection
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
I had one. Thought it would be useful, wasn't really that great though. I found that I missed some of the other tools.
@Genesis9924 жыл бұрын
TX Tool Crib the scissors really are a tough tool to lose. Wasn’t too broken up over the flat driver, tho. They do pretty much what the Damascus ones do and just sit on the shelf 99% of the time, however, so I suppose their lack of scissors isn’t too terrible

I have enjoyed watching all of your leatherman videos after finding your channel recently. Which leatherman do you think would lend itself best to mountain biking / trail riding? Thank you for this content.
@txtoolcrib2 жыл бұрын
Normally, for your application I would say that the Leatherman Rebar would be the best choice. However, I personally would use a Wave to have the ability to pair that with the Leatherman extension and the double sided Wiha bit kit. I think you’ll find the outside accessible tools much more convenient on the Wave as well. Both are good choices, I definitely recommend the Wave though.

Have you picked up the charge g10 earth yet? It's on the Australian site. I know you don't live in Australia and shopping to and from Australia is bullshit. But, there are websites that will give you an address to order the knife to, and you can pay for shipping from Australia to the US if leatherman doesn't offer it.
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
I haven't. In the US they are only available at Sportsman's Warehouse. I don't have one close to me, but I will try to get one soon.

I have been blessed with an opportunity to buy a leatherman charge. Which one would you recommend between titanium and orange basspro shop version?
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
My personal favorite is the black on black version. All of them are really nice though. G-10 handles are grippy, but they tend to have a bit of flex to them. I would go with one of the regular Charge+ models unless you are sold on the titanium.
@salmanslim4 жыл бұрын
TX Tool Crib thank you i was dead set on titanium but i had some bass pro giftcard recognition awards from work so i ended up getting orange one . Next will be the titanium :)

On amazon it says "LET'S BE PRACTICAL: Sometimes you only have one hand to spare. The Charge Plus only requires one hand to open and use all the tools, even the ones that aren't accessible from the outside." Any idea how they can claim that with clear conscience? I mean, I know it's possible, I can do it with my Charge TTi (not the plus model), but that skill can't be expected from every customer, right?! It requires quite a bit of finger acrobatics... and many tools will come too stiff from the factory to even safely be flicked open...
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I’m not sure what is going on there.

@totoybrown09082 жыл бұрын
so which has the best blade of all charge models?
@txtoolcrib2 жыл бұрын
The Charge TTi Plus. While S30V would not be considered premium steel by today’s knife standards, it is a very good blade steel.
@totoybrown09082 жыл бұрын
yeah i also think so, i want to buy multi tool again and i like to try the charge models.. . although i have the Zero tolerance 0095BW S35VN, so i wonder how good s30v is coz i also heard that 154cm is also a great blade .. .btw tnx for some tips 😊
@txtoolcrib2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don’t mind the 154CM. It has adequate blade retention, and it is relatively easy to resharpen. Really it comes down to your personal taste. The 154CM is available in a wider variety of products from Leatherman as well, something to consider.

Opinion on the P4 vs the charge +?
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
Have you had an opportunity to see my Wave+ vs P4 video? I think the P4 does some things well. The ease of use is a key issue for a lot of people. However, I believe the Wave outperforms the P4 in most instances. The P4 wins out on the scissors and the serrated blade in my opinion. I find the new serrated blade design to be quite useful. That being said, the Wave+ is the clear winner for me. The Charge+ is the superior version of the Wave+, both in functionality and fit and finish. I would definitely recommend the Charge+ family over the P4.

What do you think about the OHT or Super Tool 300 EOD? Can't decide which to get or if I should get your all black charge+
@txtoolcrib4 жыл бұрын
Both offer unique features. I personally think the OHT is a bit lacking considering the tool set. I feel like the EOD is specifically designed for military personnel, though I really like the cutters on the plier for the EOD versions. I think the Charge+ would be the better overall option unless you are looking for a specific tool that those other models offer. I have reviews on all of them, hopefully you have a chance to check them out.
@westcoastlife78854 жыл бұрын
TX Tool Crib I like OHT for pliers but I like surge as it has more tools! Which one would you suggest I get?

West Coast Life788 the Surge, without hesitation.

TX Tool Crib Great, glad I ordered a back ordered model! Which leather sheath should I get? Do you think if I get a Surge I should also get the OHT for those pliers?
