This is the gentle chronic fatigue syndrome workout that I did in the middle of my ME/CFS recovery. For me, working out with chronic fatigue syndrome effectively was challenging but I did eventually figure out how to include this as a vital part of my full CFS/ME recovery!

Remember that this is what worked for me, and it absolutely will not be suitable for everyone. Please make your own assessment, do your own further research, and consult your trusted healthcare professionals before deciding if anything I talk about here might be right for you.

Raelan, you're awesome. I'm currently at the stage where I am working out 6 days a week. 3 days a week I'm doing strengthening (things like planks, lunges, bicep curls etc) and 3 days a week I'm doing foam rolling, stretching, and a walk. I'm still not 100% recovered, and I'm still napping every day for example, but channels like yours give me so much hope that full recovery is just around the corner if I continue my hard-work.

Cannot believe you are fully recovered. Lots of dedication and the will to fight against it. Do not think anyone will find a cure soon. My physical energy has improved a lot but not for brain fog. I cannot stand it follow me as a ghost like 24/7. I can still run for few seconds then I have to stop :(. Thank you.

It's such hard work, isn't it? I'm so sorry Jaymie that you're still facing so many struggles. That's really great news about your physical energy though. I know that we all have unique experiences, but for me personally when my physical energy started to improve my mental clarity did as well. I hope that you see something similar happening for you too soon because that sounds super challenging to live with. Hang in there Jaymie! Sending hugs to you for your journey 💛

Hi Raelan, I was super fit before I CFS crashed, I have found it difficult to find a starting point for getting fit again, hopefully i can tailor this workout to be a good baseline!

Hey Luke! I can relate to being in shape and then CFS taking that away. It's so frustrating, isn't it. I hope you find a way to slowly get back there! Cheering you on 💪

I know some people who find stretching on its own to be very helpful for recovery. It seems so individual really. Others find walking helps them. Stretching has always helped me and been important with recovery, but for me the strength training delivered the best results.
