There's another route to the Sea Org. I joined staff at a local org, and basically failed there, and management there sent me to the Sea Org, where they signed me up, and I continued my course (Basic Study Course) work there, while doing physical labor. . I soon left, on some pretense i've forgotten. I never was abused or even disrespected, imo, maybe because I wasn't very valuable to the Org. I think there was a mutual understanding it wasn't working.
