This video does not replace seeking help from a licensed mental health professional. As I said in the video I think a great place to start is NOCD: www.treatmyocd...
This video is a bit of a ramble but I hope it helps you feel less alone with your OCD and that you can possibly relate to some of my struggles. Stay tuned for the second part of this video where I share what I think are the main keys to recovery! Be sure to leave any thoughts and questions in the comments below and let me know if you'd like to see more non-ASMR videos about mental health like this ❤️

been suffering with ocd for about 6 years now. it destroyed my whole life and i wish people would speak out about it more but i understand why its not talked about because the themes of ocd are awful. thank you for speaking on this.

You're brave talking about such difficult moments as a child and your struggles in high school and college. Thank you for telling us your story, giving us insight into how you felt. A couple of years ago, when I was 22, anxiety almost took over entire aspects of my life and it was daunting. I'm much better now and it's unbelievable. You are healing, too. You deserve peace and kindness 🤍

You are one smart, wise, courageous dude. Thanks for allowing us into your 'inner self'; I hope doing so is as helpful for you as it is for us. Best wishes and prayers to you as you continue your journey. Bro... the best is yet to come!!

I cannot thank you enough for bringing awareness to this topic by speaking openly about OCD on your channel. ❤ Most depictions of OCD are extremely narrow and stereotypical, which is not the reality of so many peoples' experiences and can leave people feeling lost & alone. 💔

this is the earliest I've been to a video! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us ❤️ I'm currently planning to go to a professional and get a proper diagnosis so hopefully I can get the treatment I need (I've gone to therapy before but talk therapy has never helped me), in the mean time, your videos help a lot!

I have the almost exact same experience as you with ocd, and I love how you explained it in depth. It’s nice seeing others who understand the disorder is more than the stereotypical idea of it. Thank you for sharing your story, I felt very seen in this video! The Reddit group r/ocd has helped me feel less alone.

Thank you for sharing, this is so validating 🥹 I’ve also had OCD since I can remember and I’m 21 now. Before I started going to therapy I was fully convinced I would end up in jail for my intrusive thoughts because I have to confess everything 😭

Yes, please. PLEASE make a video of some of your techniques that have helped you with your obsessive tendencies. I struggle so much with this problem, I’ve even noticed the SSRI I take is starting to lose its effectiveness. I’d love to know some of your tips. 🩷
