people have dedication, even fan games with like barely anyone playing them, the community that is there, tends to still pay for their servers, they probably take money out of their actual paycheck to pay for the servers, or they have their own servers they own themselves, either is possible

They do have a patreon and have 100,000 Patrons. Their lowest tier is $3. So they're making like 300,000+ money monthly.

Pony Town is beautifully done! and it gives you a warm cozy feeling inside and honestly i think pony town might be one of the most wholesome communities out there i haven't played it yet but whenever i see someone playing it's usually all fun and rather light hearted

Yeah the community are nice but there are some few bad apples. But thankfully this game make you block or hide any ponies that are annoying.

I actually avoided the game for a while because my brother heard the community was pretty bad. However, I decided to try it anyway because I like creating characters. Also, I'm a furry, and brony. I don't really belive bad stigmas with most fandoms make them completely horrid

There is one My Little pony video game that's still in production but will be ready in the year 2025 it's called MLP ambient you can find it on KZbin even says it'll be ready in 2025 and I'm going to be honest it actually looks really good,❤ but I'll wait until your next video when you review MLP ambient I mostly want to hear what your thoughts are on the game.

I have played and known about PonyTown for SO long, I even met one of my current closest friends on there several years ago. Despite having stopped playing around 2021, I'm always pleasantly surprised to see it still has a huge fanbase for what it is, and at the fact that more and more KZbinrs (both mlp-related creators and not) are trying it out even now. Although it's kinda ironic most of the modern players are not MLP fans! 😅

Yeah, feel that last sentence. Back in the day, I’d make OCs and canon ponies, while nowadays, I mostly make Hermitcraft/Empires SMP/Life Series cosplays and hang out in the MCYT section. :'D Still love MLP, though.

​@@Kawaiitwo wow we did the opposite! I had joined around when dsmp originally started, and made my oc at first. Then when I got a hang of the different fandom sections I spent most my time on mcyt hill. Now I mostly make oc's or various cosplays, and 90% of the time sit at the dock ^^'

I’ve played pony town for about 5 years, and in that time I’ve met a lot of friends on there and even long time ones! I’m not very social irl and so pony town was a nice way for me to talk to other people (and in quarantine too), even though it was still pretty scary. I rarely play it now and only sometimes ever get on to make a new skin, but it’s been fun seeing how much the game has changed since 2019. I definitely recommend playing it for people who are curious!

I absolutely thought pony town was the modern-day club penguin. It just needs minigames. Club penguin’s multiplayer minigames made the social aspect so much more enjoyable.

There's also Ashes Town too! True it's based on the Fallout series and MLP, and is mature themed, but still fun. New cosmetics and activities too ^^

I think speech to text type options might be more reasonable for slow typers in a faster conversation, and for those who might struggle with typing in general for whatever reason may be. Win win idea!

I love Pony Town, but I'm not social enough to really enjoy it, so I don't go on there as often as I would like😅 There's a separate rave server though where they throw parties every so often and you can carry special items, do special dance emotes, and conga lines are always super cute and fun!

It's fun to see how big ponytown has grown into over the course of 8 years. I remember playing this when it first launched and the server crashed like every three minutes haha. On top of that. The most fun experiences out of those 8 years (which has sort of slowed down recently) were the various Ponytown "species" and unique character groups and clans that often patrolled around the map. Highly recommend checking out the Pony Town wiki for examples of said species. This game kinda changed my life in a way and kind of thankful it exists

I started playing on Pony Town recently, and I really like it. My island is very... basic. Just a house on a square patch of land. I usually play on the 18+ server, because I don't really want to play with minors, and there is less risk of that on 18+. My only gripe with the game is I am not there to flirt with people, and I have had at least 3 people flirt with me. No, thank you, people.

I’ve been playing pony town since 2019 and seeing and watching this video made me so happy- Also, there are in fact mini games! (ish) For holidays there’s little things to collect around the map, (for Christmas it’s gifts that you can collect that give you little plushies that can go on your head, for Halloween it’s candies that also give you plushies, and so on) and for the summer, in the beach part of the map, there’s little clams that when they open up, they have pearls that you can collect! There’s also various rps that people host, and I think it died out, but I used to see a lot of fashion roulettes that were really fun :D (also, not sure if you saw it, but there’s a cave near the spawn that’s really interesting)

Not tried ponytown yet, but one day I'll take the plunge. If you're going to be looking at fan games, might I suggest fan mods for games as well? I'm particularly thinking of the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of iron 4 (hoi4), ww2 era game by paradox. The mod is very well made with several million words of lore and other text, unique art and music and a whole bunch of other things as well as a big community behind it. Downside is you propably need some of the DLC that enable new features in addition to the base game. The devs themselves might be able to help you out there, they have a pretty active discord server and I know one of them often appears in the yt comments whenever the mod is featured. Loved the quick look at ponytown either way!

I've played a lot of Pony Town, mostly playing on the 18+ server and only frequenting the Safe server for events held by KZbinrs I watch. And I really enjoy the experience I've had. Getting to meet various people with various interests, and roleplaying as whatever characters I want, which is a lot easier than that of VRChat when I haven't really any 3D modelling skills. I've also been frequenting VRChat lately. On one hand, because of VRChat's voice functionality and headset compatibility, it allows for interactions to feel more genuine, even if they can be just as ungenuine as any online conversation or relationship. And for another thing, it being controllable in that fashion allows for some things that Pony Town isn't capable of, or at least, not by normal circumstances. Never seen a video player or minigames by default in Pony Town, myself. But the difference between those servers, and the easy customization, is where Pony Town has the edge. People can lie about their age and all that, but VRChat has less control over what servers you can enter, which means I could end up encountering someone clearly too young to be in a more adult-oriented server... that shit ain't right.

My choices of pony games are a little harder to jump into but well worth the investment. Equestria At War is a mod for Hearts of Iron and it might as well be the default way to play that game. Also there’s a small text based MOO called Midnight, Equestria that I just love. The community is very small but they’re great.

I used to love ponytown still kinda do the only few gripes I have about it is some of the people will annoy the shit out of you even when you clearly dont wanna be messed with hell I remember these people coming up to me and my friends and wouldn't leave us tf alone lol anyways though besides that and the kids dont even get me started on them lmao but all in all ponytown is honestly a good game to play esp when you wanna interact with people cuz man I remember playing ponytown since like a year after it was released so like around 2017 when it was just an open map and grass everywhere and omfg I remember when you could press on the grass and it would disappear man good times lol

I like pony town but I wish you could make your own servers or there was more servers of one language. Especially for introverts and ambiverts. I’m an ambivert online, and I’m an introvert in person. For online, it’s hard for me to talk to strangers unless it’s about a common interest or a topic I can easily include myself in. If it’s a group of friends, I feel awkward talking to them feeling like if I were to interrupt someone. Of course with your own server you can join up with your friends, or in my case I can just feel lonely about that my other friends don’t play pony town. Or if it’s other official servers of 1 language, each language getting multiple servers, make it safe servers. You can choose which server to join whether it has a lot of people or not that many. Also is there any way to avoid 18+ in the safe server? I feel like I seen 18+ in the safe server but I don’t play it often so I can’t remember.

To add on, I like the island ideas, but for me, idk how to design as amazingly as that. I like designing but I don’t have the talent. Also I’d be taking most of the time debating able what colors to use if colors is an option. I worked on a room in a house in roblox for 2 days. I haven’t started on the other rooms. Thats how bad I am with deciding on design and colors for the design.

*sigh* "Pony" Town is not a MLP Fan game. No one treats it as such. 90% of the players make human/shaded characters and the look really ugly. I once believed that it was a MLP Fan game but the developers are supporting ugly shaded shits in their game.
