I love this watch too. I like the slight design modifications that make the watch not look so angular and square.

I so so wish this watch had an in house movement..... Same dilemma with the iwc Mark xviii..... A lot of money for a sellita movement (sinn 556i/a can be still had for less than £1000 and a lot of the tudor range can be had for less money).... Love the br03-92 in matt ceramic and this watch, Bell and Ross have taken the genta/nautilus design and put their own stamp over it..its not just a cheap copy..... Love the way the light plays on the bracelet, fantastic......

I was looking in the watch shop here in Limoges last weekend. Have been aware of this brand for some years but never really been tempted. Now though I see it differently. I checked the web site and found the limited edition BR05 Horolum. A wonderful watch with subtle but significant changes it to it than this piece you are reviewing. Much more expensive but I am thinking of going for it. Problem is they only carry them in the boutiques which for me means Paris and that's an expensive trip.

Never seen a B&R watch in person, but I do like some of the designs they have. I've been curious about this watch and bummed to not hear your 2 good, 2 bad or a lume shot for this one. :)

Andrew, when your Mrs said you think more about your watches than the bedroom....I'm not sure she meant film your vids in there ? Anyway back to bell and Ross, I think they do some really nice designs , but this one is a bit 1970s. You could buy a tissot that is probably more elegant for a lot less money. Still surprised you haven't reviewed a rado captain cook yet, as I think you would appreciate the vintage charm of them, with modern materials, and light slim profiles. And don't forget the Mrs, otherwise you will end up filming in the shed , lol.

I've been obsessively debating between the black dial or the grey/silver dial. Does the black dial have a sunburst effect as well?

I quite like the watch. It does have a tad too much metal visually for me. Also price seems high for the tier. Looks wise, it's like a Royal Oak, a Nautilus and an Explorer had a gang bang and this arrived 9 months later. But... it is nice 😂

The BR05 just does not get enough respect IMO. It's lumped into that category as just another "RO ripoff," but in reality, the 2 models don't share much of the same design cues. In all fairness, it's really quite unique. Love the content as usual my man. With time, this channel is goin places. I have no doubt....

Really, a Patek knock off with a £50 movement with a price tag of a Rolex or Omega, I don’t think so!! Get a seiko, £200 same movement not a copy of another watch! You’ve considered selling your Datejust?? Are you serious?? They must be paying you!

It’s just that it’s £4300!! For a Sellita movement, it’s absolutely in sane that anyone would spend that money when you can get an in house movement Tudor for half that price! 🤷🏻‍♂️
@watchandrew
@watchandrew 3 жыл бұрын
playing devil’s advocate, I’d say it’s not all about the movement and that the quality of the case, finishing, bracelet, dial and markers is all top notch. - Tudor watches are totally amazing but have a big brother with great heritage backing them up.
@madeincyprus
@madeincyprus 3 жыл бұрын
@@watchandrew I agree, it’s not all about the movement and in fairness despite owning a couple of Rolex’s they don’t have the best movements out there, especially when compared to Patek, AP and so on. That being said if this is your bag I would definitely recommend waiting a year and buying it at half the price pre owned. I just can’t comprehend that price when you could buy a seamaster 300 or even a Cartier Santos for the same money or less pre owned
@watchandrew
@watchandrew 3 жыл бұрын
There is definitely a lot of competition at this price point, the Seamaster being a great example, (I went for the planet Ocean instead) i understand your gripes for sure,, I just really really like this watch 👍
