Corey, you have created a family treasure by recording these videos of Mamaw cooking her delicious meals! Often we hear people say, oh, I wish I’d gotten my grandma to write down her recipe for this or that-and you have this beautiful footage of your Mamaw cooking and telling stories and just being wonderful! Thank you for sharing her with all of us! She’s a treasure. ❤

You are right. He's got a real treasure with having those moments on video. My mother passed long before cell phones and all this technology, and oh how I wish that I had her on video while she was cooking... Or just doing anything.

You like row tomato peeled on top of a overcooked pasta ?
@naby214
@naby214 Жыл бұрын
@@Rust-g7y For one, you’ve spelled RAW wrong more than once. For two, canned tomatoes are not raw. They are cooked during processing, genius. For three, she clearly stated that the pasta is not overcooked but just enough to be tender. Lastly, you’re a nasty person and should be ashamed of yourself for trolling these lovely people. Be careful, karma can be an unpleasant experience.😉

I'm excited to see this. We had a neighbor (who was my first best girlfriend) whose mother was German. I remember her delicious goulash, and I've searched for a recipe that looks similar. I even won a cookbook on eBay that contained recipes from the Gabor family (as in Eva and ZsaZsa). You're fortunate to still have family cooks. Except for my cousin (who is 59 y/o and whose mother was an amazing cook), we've lost all of our family cooks. I miss the cooking of both my maternal and paternal grandmothers as well as my Mom's. After Mom was hospitalized with a broken hip, I realized I should document her special recipes. Its a good thing, because the next hospitalization was major and she passed 4 months later (following my brother's death 3 months prior, due to Covid complicated by leukemia). I've lost so many people since 2018 that most of my socialization is now online. Thank you for sharing your recipes, stories, and lives. It helps me feel less alone.

Dear soul, you are never alone. But I understand. I was for years grieving over the absence of my daughter who had moved away. We used to shop together so often and enjoy each other so much we would end up back home around 3:00 AM (thank God for all night Wallmart) in those days. For years after she left I would become overwhelmed with sadness everytime I went shopping. The deep sadness would descend and tears start to flow. I couldnt even finish my shopping. I dreaded even going to a store. It seemed like it would never stop but I kept turning to God and one day while in a store I felt myself being overwhelmed again but by a different feeling... I was joyfull ..!!!WOW!!! What a change in me! A smile now. A great light spirit. A giggle. And life started again! I never feel sad in stores anymore.

Im from Georgia and I had a precious grandmama a lot like you. I was raised in Church of God, the church she went to all her life. My grand daddy had stomach cancer and the doctor said there was nothing they could do and sent him home to die. My grandmama prayed without ceasing. My grand pa finally got out of bed and lived over 40 more years before he died of cancer. I got to see him, i was 13 when he died but my dad was a little boy when the doctor told him to go home and die. My grand mamas love of God began as a child. Her mom was bitten by a rattle snake and there was no hospital/emergency room way back then. My grand mama told God if He let he mama live, she would live her life for Him. Her mama recovered and as far as I know, my grand mama did as she said she would. She lived her life for God. ❤

I live in SE Missouri and take care of my 91 year old Dad. He has Dementia but his spiritual is great! He was a preacher all his life and still praises the Lord all day long. My mom went to be with Jesus on Mothers Day and I miss her. Mom cooked like you do and finding your channel makes me peaceful to see you cook like her. You have a kind and loving spirit. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you !

This is like watching my Nana cook. So precious. Nana graduated to glory a few years back. Now I live in her house and cook in her kitchen. Sis. Margaret we just call you mawmaw, too. My wife likes to watch to see if Mawmaw is wearing one of the same dresses that she has. She’s been shopping at Wiman Within for years. We appreciate y’all. My family is from the hills of TN. Then migrated to Florida for work. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. Thankful for my 5th generation mountain Pentecostal heritage. Watching y’all is like a hug from heaven and like coming home.

It is such a joy listening to your Memaw. It is so nice to listen and watch videos of someone cooking that is from the south. My family was raised in Louisiana and Arkansas. I grew up with their wonderful southern cooking. It's a shame that they didn't write down their recipes. They just eyeballed most of their recipes . I did watch them and learn a lot. I do have their dessert recipes written down. I grew up in New Mexico. So I've grown up with Southern food as well as new Mexican food. New Mexico has a wonderful tradition of food. We live in Albuquerque New Mexico. It is so neat to hear your Memaw talk about our lord Jesus. Most of my family have died now and I'm the only one left. I still carry their traditions as well as the training that they have given me of our Lord and savior. They stood by the word of God and read their Bible daily. I just totally love your old Bible that you brought out in one of your videos. I have quite a few Bibles left from my Granny and my Momma. We called my Granny's Momma Memaw too. Our family kept the traditional cooking from all of their grandparents. So, we have recipes handed down from generation to generation. Now, I will hand several of those recipes down to my latest generation. The recipes I get from you will also be handed down. I just wish we knew to make videos when our family was still alive so we could get these recipes. It would have been precious seeing them cooking and making these recipes on video. Just like it's precious to see you cooking in these videos.

MaMaw is the sweetest. I grew up on a dairy farm and we didn't have much money at all. My mom would cook the best goulash for us. I have 3 sisters and no brothers. We are a very close family and always ate dinner together. MaMaw reminds me of my mom. I tell my children that i thank God everyday because i have my family,the love,a roof over my head,food on the table even if there is very little and happiness. Keep on staying the sweetest.
