These texture police kill me. The only time they don't complain about someone having 4c hair is when it's short, dry and matted, they can even have 4b/a hair and still be told they're 4c when its short or dry. But when its long and well taken care of its like their brain explodes. "What that can't possibly be 4c hair, 4c hair can't possibly look better than mine because I am of the 'privileged' texture, I should tell her about her own hair cause 4c hair can't possibly look that good" Like stfu, setting us back with that kind of mindset smh.
@bubblegumsugga4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, is this a recent thing? Because, it’s only lately I’ve been seeing people denying others of being 4c. I’ve been questioning my own texture since seeing these comments. I’ve always thought I was 4c, in the past my hair never grew past my shoulders and it was always dry and breaking and very coily in texture. I just accepted that that’s my hair. But, when I started looking after it, and I mean, proper taking care of it. It did things I never imagined it to do, including grow... I fell of my routine and my hair reverted back to the state it was before , stagnant growth , dry and brittle. It’s only because I want to get my hair back to a better state why I’m watching these videos again.... It’s just disheartening to see people getting so mad at someone that looks after their 4c hair, got it looking and being healthy. Then they get mad that their 4c hair that they barely spend any time on , still looks un-moisterised and unable to retain length. The only look I see these people accepting as 4c is the combed out Afro look or the very dry pre wash day look. 🤦🏾♀️
@PullOverItsDaPopo Жыл бұрын
@@bubblegumsugga Honestly no it's not a new thing I used to be the 4c hair police but I was usually right, Obviously, her hair is 4c but there would be women with nearly type 3 hair claiming to be 4c which was annoying.4c means you have the tiniest coils of all. But learning more about my 4c hair I always thought it was supposed to be undefined with little definition, there are girls on youtube with hair similar to mine, super thick, hard to define, hard to moisturize. But I see most black girls have healthy looking coils or curls that can be more easily manipulated than my hair. So I honestly think people with my hair texture are just very high porosity & highly dense, & i think that's what prevents my hair from thriving, my hair dries extremely fast so it's really hard to keep moisture & I get lazy once I do find a way to keep it in for a week I will stop moisturizing for a month which is bad because my hair constantly breaking due to constant dryness. But I do see I have coils just like everyone else, I just have lots of hair density which means it's hard to get to my scalp which means its hard for sebum to coat my strands even more so with my hair being undefined from the dryness. So all that combined its hard for my hair to thrive. I think it is more to it than just having 4c hair which is nothing more than a curl pattern.

I have wiry hair as well and recently found out that our type of hair doesn't not absorb ANYTHING unless it is heated first, wet hair first...then heat like your conditioner, shea butter etc. seal with beeswax , leave in hair put a heat cap on and later rinse out and your hair will feel like butter, wiry hair has to have super moisturizing products that contain butters and waxes, doesn't like olive oil or any oils including coconut, unless heated first and used as a deep condition and rinsed out...hope this helps

I believe it it is a normal for black hair. Needs to be cut out. there are videos on it on Green beauty channel but from what I am aware, making sure hair or stretched and not waiting too long to detangle it. Because of afro hairs shrinkage, when the hair shrinks and curls in on itself it can knot into itself... KZbin keeps showing me black hair videos for some reason. @@JCP88889 yup I get that mixed texture thing because the back of my hair has always been the longest And that part of my scalp looks the healthiest. Then the rest of my hair is a coarser texture smh.so much energy being put into something that effortlessly happens for others. The natural thing is so time consuming.

Hi, Please ignore the haters, it be clearly seen that it's your own hair. Keep sharing tips and knowledge on growing and maintaining natural hair :) NB: As per possible vlog ideas, how about how to grow thick hair in the middle front part of the head or a series on hair maintenance when in protective styles. I.e. what would be the best steps when you have braids on a weekly bases, what to do when you have a full weave on, what to do as per faux loc and so on. Possibly recommend products which would go well, from shampoo all the way to hair conditioning.

I use tea tree essential oil and a carrier oil. I buy a 12 or 16 oz of olive oil, and put 1/4 of the of tea tree essential oil (i have a 2oz bottle size). If you can find one already diluted you can use it like that.

Try trimming your hair. When my hair is hard to detangle, and has knots, it usually means it’s time for a trim! Let me know if that helps. Also make sure you are deep conditioning. Dry hair tangles more too.

Yes, the health supplement kind that you'd find in the pharmacy section of the store (Lilly of the Desert, George's etc), not the bottled beverage type with other ingredients added like sugar and flavorings.

I personally struggle with keeping my hands out of my hair. LOL. Maybe you have helpful tips on how I can't be tempted. : ) Also for those who think she is wearing a wig seriously. Its funny how at first we were all crying about having long hair. Especially in the black community now that we have achieved that goal now we're out here saying that we are lying and being fake maybe there are people out there that are doing that, if so that's sad just embrace your length that God gave you. But for her, seriously why does she need to lie, what is that going to do for her. At least she's out here trying to help us all to get to that length. People stop hating stop being envious and just be inspired, okay life is too short to hate on some protein okay. Be blessed and have a wonderful day. Live your best life : )

does fenugreek powder work in place of using the seeds?
@cutenobi4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I put 1/4 tsp of powder in a tea bag then place the tea bag in about a 1/4 cup of hot water. I just make sure the powder is slightly covered with water. Let the tea bag sit for a minimum of 15min to overnight. Then squeeze the reside from the bag. Don’t open the bag to take the powder out. Discard the powder in the teabag. If you use the powder in the teabag, it will be difficult to wash out of your hair.
